Came here with my Mum on Saturday afternoon with her little dog. Welcomed and seated in no time. Drinks ordered as the bar area bustled with life! Ordered our meals and well... What an amazing meal!! The beer is great, the food is even better and the service 2nd to none! Everyone need to sample this place, will definitely be back! If only for the bone marrow gravy!

Visited here as a large family group. All meals had to be preordered from the main menu. On arrival with my father in law who has poor mobility we noticed there are no disabled parking spaces and the car park was reasonably full so had to park a fair distance away from the entrance. Which is ok for us but not great for my father in law. He refuses to be dropped at the door due to principle but that’s a whole other story not for here. Entered to be greeted by front of house and shown to our table. Ordered drinks and once everyone was here food was brought out. Having heard lots of good things about the food here I had high expectations. Only to be very disappointed. My partner has the gammon which looked very over cooked for my liking. He does like his food well done compared to me but said even by his standards it was a little overcooked and dry. I had the house burger. The burger it self was lovely however the fries were just like crispy strips of nothing. Nice and crispy on the outside but air on the inside not even a glimpse of potato. So all in all a very disappointing visit. The staff are lovely and it has a good atmosphere but I won’t be returning.

Went with my husband for a date night, food was amazing as always and wider choice of cocktails than I realised. The 2 for £12 cocktails were very welcome, would always recommend getting the pies for the main meal but plenty of other menu options, saw someone else get fish and chips with the biggest fish I’ve ever seen!

Beautiful food, well presented and very tasty, attentive staff and fair prices on both food and drink. We have booked to go again following our first visit ☺️

We ate here on a Wednesday night assuming it would be quieter - glad we booked as it was rammed. Service was very friendly from both the young man and the young lady who served us. We both enjoyed our meals (famous fish pie and steak and ale pie) and they were both excellent which was nice to see as the kitchen staff / serving staff were flat out. Would recommend and will return.

Had a lovely meal today. I had the chicken roast and the portion of chicken is huge! My only criticism is that there isn’t enough vegetables on the plate for the amount of meat. A few more veggies without paying additional would make a perfect meal. It came out hot and the gravy was really nice. My boyfriend had pie which was packed out with meat and delicious. Highly recommend for good pub grub.

We’re never disappointed when we visit! Never had a bad meal and the pies are an absolute favourite of mine. The staff are always welcoming, polite, helpful and so friendly. They can’t do enough for you! It’ll always be our favourite place to eat!

We had a great meal, made even better by a 2 for 1 voucher. The quality and quantity of food was great. One slight disappointment was the service. It started well, but they forgot about us later on 🙁
