The best falafel I’ve ever had, my husband is very picky but he loved the chicken shawarma wrap, they even went out of their way to cater to my toddle with a meal that wasn’t on the menu. Will definitely be returning, the decor is beautiful and the owners made us feel extremely welcome

Reem kindly opened up after hours for us and produced a magnificent feast for a dozen or so of us. A mouthwatering collection of starters followed by delicious main dishes catering for vegans and meat-eaters alike, and very reasonable prices, all made by Reem, from fresh ingredients. The atmosphere is so warm and friendly, they are gracious hosts, and their cafe is truly a hidden gem. It is in fact, very easy to get to, with good bus links and an easy walk from University station. From now on, all visiting friends and family will be brought here without fail. Thank you Reem and family for such an excellent start to our Christmas. See you soon!

Lovely family run local cafe with great arabic food if a little overpriced, still worth a visit if nearby.

What a gem of a place! This place is absolute perfection. Heard such great things about here and finally got to try it. I was not disappointed! It’s family run and you can feel the love that’s gone into it. The food is simply perfection. The decor is beautiful and takes you right out of Birmingham. I cannot wait to return!

This place is small, it's hidden, it's well decorated and the music is great, and good lord is the food good. If the tajine kofta cost double, it'd still be well worth the price, and the banana/lotus/caramel/etc milkshake tastes exactly the amazing way you wish eggnog tasted. The salad is the only salad to convince me I ought to have a whole plate of it. A quiet, perfect lunch spot.

Cafe Reem hosted our Arab Society Annual Dinner. Our interaction with Cafe Reem was very professional and pleasant. Our guests enjoyed the food and excellent service too. Best Arabic food I have personally tasted in Birmingham!!! Definitely worth a visit or for hosting a private event!

Everyone was pleased with the high quality of the food and the great service. The restaurant is family-run so it has a very loving atmosphere. The ambience is very cosy as well. We all had a great time and special thanks to Reem and her family for the outstanding effort they put into making our event absolutely splendid! - Lara, President of ArabSoc.

My husband and I visited Cafe Reem today for the first time and it won’t be the last! Reem and Alaa are such sweet owners and the food was incredible. My husband is Lebanese and until now we haven’t found anywhere in Birmingham that does food even close to the quality or taste of food from Beirut. Now we have! Top tip: Try the halawet el jiben, It’s homemade by Reem and delicious!

We spotted this place, whilst driving past Its less than 5 minutes away. Yet I had no idea it was there. We decided we would pay a visit soon. We decided to go on a Sunday morning for a coffee. That was until we saw the home made cakes. My choice was a slice of Lotus biscuit cheesecake. Quite possibly one of the best I have ever tasted. My partner had the brownie. Which was most and full of fresh prunes. Both were washed down with two very nice cups of coffee. Staff were friendly and make us feel very welcome. On leaving we had a quick look at the menu. Which really does look superb. Plenty of vegetarian dishes I noticed too.

This isn't the first time here and certainly won't be the last. The selection of foods is amazing and I've slowly worked through everything on the menu and nothing is bad. If you love light foods, full of flavour, presented well by friendly staff this is the place.

This charming little venue caught our eye a couple of weekends ago, so we decided to drop in this Sunday mid-morning-ish, I went for a Cortado (2/3 coffee 1/3 milk) and a homemade brownie bursting with prune, nuts deliciousness, lovely dense, rich texture. The Dearly Beloved had a latte and a slice of homemade Lotus cheesecake - this meant a layer of crushed Lotus biscuits as topping, I was offered a bite of this slice of heaven, just mouth-wateringly rich and creamy...a quick glance at the menu assures this little gem of a return visit.

Cafe Reem is tucked away a bit off the beaten track behind Grove Park in Harborne, but only a 15 min walk from the QE Hospital. A great choice of Middle Eastern and Palestinian dishes, with the focus on vegetarian and vegan, but enough meat dishes for the carnivores. Mains and great selection of tapas. Food well prepared, and really flavoursome. Highly recommended

Was visiting Grove Park and visited Café Reem for coffee and snack. Lovely atmosphere and music, a bit pricey but I enjoyed the Mediterranean experience in Harborne.

A lovely place for friends and family. Nice ambient music and perfect hospitality. Food was really nice with a diverse choice of flavours. Turkish tea and latte was perfectly done. Would definitely come here again.

We went to Cafe Reem with a lot of anticipation. The first unpleasant surprise was being ask to pay for the meal BEFORE we ate - this was most odd. The food was good but rather overpriced and the portions were very small. The Middle Eastern scone was hard and unappetizing. Also we even waited ages to be served. On the other hand we noticed that there were many clients from the Middle East at the cafe so the food must be well appreciated by this community in Birmingham. Maybe we had bad luck but it has put me off going back.

Visited over the weekend for brunch. Food was flavoursome and staff were friendly. Couldn’t leave without trying Cafe Reem’s kunafa! So fresh and absolutely delicious. Definitely a dish I would recommend.

We went early on a Sunday and used the groupon voucher - Tapas for 2 with drinks. We paid a bit extra to upgrade to hot chocolate (it was well worth it) and 6 tapas we could select from the menu. The food is homemade authentic and delicious in lovely surroundings. The overwhelming experience was gaining a friend in the owners Reem and her husband. Their hospitality skills are the best I have experienced. Their kindness was truly incredible. Thank you so much for the wonderful occasion, Cafe Reem. We will be back soon

After many recommendations, I finally made it here with some friends and it did not disappoint! I had the fuul, which amazing and other highlights included the falafel burger (with a heart of goats cheese). We're currently, tucking into some similarly wonderful baklava. Delicious. And the staff are lovely!

The place is really very nice and the food was excellent. In addition we were treated as old friends. They have vegetarian, vegan and gluten free food. They even have gluten free cheese cake.
