Very warm welcome and high quality food on offer. A spacious and comfortable place to go for a meal. It's tucked away behind the high street but definitely worth seeking out.

Lovely service and food. Visited a few times and the staff have been super friendly everytime and the menu has great variety. Bonus points for always having an amazing soundtrack

Surprisingly good quality food in a hidden food square of Harborne. Great service and food was very delicious. The menu was fairly simple but every dish was worth to order. Probably not the cheapest place especially if you want to have some drinks, but we really enjoy the time. Only one suggestion is I wished they have better ventilation in the open kitchen.

One look at the menu on the first visit and we quickly decided we'd be back for repeat visits to work our way through it! We're back for a third visit thanks to a great atmosphere, superb food and friendly and attentive service. Highly recommended for brunch and lunch. The coffee's good too...

Wow, that was good. Looked for something a bit different in Harborne after a long walk. The brunch menu was very tempting and had difficulty deciding. Had sweet potato hash. The flavours were amazing, sweet, smoky a hint of spice and the lime pickle provided the sour. The evening menu also looks fab. We are going back. No pictures were taken as the food was inhaled.

If you are thinking of holding a team event, I can highly recommend the Cook and Dine Experience at Hengata. What an amazing experience. From the arrival and our host Chris (who was brilliant), to the amazing chef team, the venue and of course the food we prepared, cooked and ate (which was all locally sourced). The experience is tailored to your needs and met all our expectations and more. Thanks to everyone at the Harborne Food School!

Came here on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was very quiet. It had a nice chilled vibe. The food is really good, and the menu does make you drool. I found myself wishing i could just order it all, but I don't think the prices reflect the portion size you get. When I order grilled octopus, one tentacle for 15 quid isn't acceptable, I don't think.
The tables and chairs are very close to one another. Very close, which I think quite a few people would find this off-putting.
The service is amazing. A good selection of wines, cocktails, and beers.
There is ample parking next to the restaurant. It is nice being able to see the chefs making the food.

Having dinner at this unique restaurant is a wonderful experience. I ordered octopus as a starter and lamb shoulder as a main. The octopus was carefully cooked to show its delicate flavor and the lamb was tender, perfectly structured. Needless to say, the service I received was impeccable. I am happy to be back~!
