Boaters Bar

Called in just after opening as we were in need of coffee, choice helped by them being dog friendly. Place was almost empty, however that was not a problem, coffee was excellent, however not much cake left to order so went with a garlic bread with cheese as a quick snack to share. Coffee was almost finished when the garlic bread arrived, did begin to wonder where it was, as did the lady who served us who went looking for it at the same time as we started to question where the food was. It was worth the wait, very enjoyable and the left overs went well with our tea later in that day. Would highly recommend the voters bar and will return for an alcoholic beverage someday. Knocked a star off for the wait but would not hesitate to return

Usually very good on the weekend, lively especially when there’s good entertainment on, however food usually quite a wait no matter whether the bar is empty or full. Drinks are reasonably priced for the area however they charge us something different every round even when we order the same drinks? Still a lovely bar but depends on the day really cx

We first briefly visited the excellent Boaters Bar on our Lakes holiday, this year we got to make a proper night of it and my fiancé and I were incredibly impressed with this wonderful establishment. We had several of their signature cocktails, all of them were excellent, mixed to perfection by the very friendly bar staff, Sebastian and Jake were particularly good. I was incredibly impressed that my Old Fashioned was smoked and I even got a choice of wood chips, top notch drinks. The atmosphere was really nice and it’s a very stylish bar with a large outdoor area with stunning views of Lake Windermere. They even have a really cool game where you have to try and swing a hook and attempt to get it to land on a hook on the wall, very difficult and highly addictive especially after a few drinks. We also had a great game of pool. This is a great bar and we will most definitely be visiting again next year, highly recommended.
