Rags Restaurant

A must do restaurant in Bridlington. Lovely atmosphere both up & downstairs. Staff extermely friendly and helpful. The food is fab, plentiful and good quality. We will definitely be back when visiting the area again. A great find as well for our friends who live locally and had never been to this restaurant.

You might pass Rags by without a second look but it is well worth going in. The decor is tasteful and comfortable. The menu changes regularly and has a good choice for all diners including vegans. Food is very well prepared and service is good. The view in the restaurant is spectacular as the whole of the harbour is laid out before you.

A friendly and warm welcome greeted us on our arrival. Our room was well appointed and very clean with wonderful views over the harbour, also some nice touches, sweets for the little one, nice bottled water, still and sparkling. Our breakfasts were fantastic, huge choice,lots of fresh fruit and the cooked breakfast was very generous and beautifully cooked. As a result, we decided to have dinner on our last night and we were not disappointed, exquisite isn't too strong a description. All in all, an extremely enjoyable stay and very good value.. Nice location looking over the harbour. Dining area was well presented and not over crowded. Starter of belly pork was cooked perfectly, and the jus added a little exotic punch. The main course was the mushroom and chickpea burger, to check out this combination. Although the texture was not very solid the flavours worked excellently together. Maybe a touch less lettuce. The dessert was a trio of local ice-cream that was creamy and fulfilling. Over a good meal in nice surroundings and I would recommend this to anyone visiting Bridlington.

Went for a meal with the kids, arrived a bit late but wasn't a problem we were made to feel welcome, staff were great slight hikup with my drink orders a double got a single (new staff), but was fixed on next drink as got a triple so no worries lad even did a magic trip for our kids which was nice, location lovely looked right onto the bay so our little boy very happy he saw the boats. Food was outstanding but menu bit limited more variety would have been perfect. Would definitely recommend and will be going back.
