Just had a delightful roast here. Gravy served with the lamb was amazing, potatoes were spot on and it came with a nice side plate of veg. Cauliflower cheese was the best I've had and had a nice truffle flavour. Drinks were actually resonably priced for Brighton. Staff all very friendly. Just moved to the area and feel like I've lucked out having this at my doorstep.
Amazing pub.Heard they are under new ownership. Tried the new menu and the food is incredible. Definitely a go to for a Sunday roast. Staff are attentive and the music and atmosphere is perfect. Will definitely be back!
We visit this pub whenever we visit my daughter in Brighton as its near her house, you can park and it has a good veggie choice. Went last week and had three roasts. Two meat one veggie. Very nice. Looked like something like paprika or turmeric added to nut roast which slightly masked the nut flavour. Nice though. My only personal dislike was the roast potatoes. Looked like cooked in oil and a hard coating of all cracked in places. I hate seeing any oil and dry roast my potatoes so couldn't eat them. Not had this issue there before so maybe just the end of a batch. Followed by delicious apple crumble. Will be back soon
Hartington is our local pub and we were so sad when it was closed for ages but the refurb is lovely and all the staff and the new look are great. Nice selection of beers and loads of space inside and out. We love grabbing a sunset beer in the garden. We also had our civil partnership party at the pub and MJ and her amazing staff couldn't have done more for us, the food was so good our guests couldn't stop raving, and it was an awesome vibe, lovely lighting, nice beer selection, etc. The perfect pub wedding party basically.
Visited for a Sunday roast after being recommended to by a friend. they offer two veggie options (a delicious vegan wellington and veggie nut roast) in addition to the standard meat options. I was pleased with the excellent range of vegetables accompanying the roast and the perfectly cooked yorkshire pudding!
Had the best roast I’ve had in years. The pub is amazingly decorated and the staff extremely friendly. Great music and atmosphere. Will definitely be coming again.
My husband and I enjoyed a lovely pie and mash each with a drink. Choice of 4 pies. We had chicken and leek and beef and ale. They tasted delicious and very filling. Staff friendly. Definitely recommend
Vegan option was yammy( wish they had even more options) great service, we where 6 people we all had a great time
Brilliant pub, the garden is great for families with a lovely play area for the kids. Food was lush and the staff are so friendly, will definitely be returning soon!
Amazing tuna salad and chips. Great beer garden, friendly staff and good selection of sweets to choose from.
