Martin's Burger House

Ring the bell if no one is around says the sign. Sadly, no bell in sight but it was not a problem as we were served after a few short minutes. There are only a couple of different things on the menu but if you go for a burger there are a number of ways you can have it: all the usual burger fixings are on offer plus a few you might not expect too. I had a double with blue cheese and fries and a pint (Staropramen) for £13.50 which set me up for the evening nicely. Good to see somewhere that recognises the pointlessness of oh-so-trendy brioche buns. Here you get a substantial seed-topped bun that holds together right up to the final bite. The skin-on chips were fabulous too. I'll be back for pre-gig grub on my next visit to Brighton too.

Had a brilliant meal here today! You can’t beat the price and the burger quality was amazing, no processed rubbish. Hard to comment on service as you go in and order, bring your drink out and they bring food out later. Had to go back in for sauces. This place has been far better than some other ‘premium’ burger places I’ve been to. The £12 deal is certainly one I’ll return for!

Whoever said the food is bad... what? The burger was great, a reasonable price for a fried egg on a burger. Good fresh toppings, a great fresh bun. Fries were like McDonald's, but they were crispier and not drowning in salt. The service was as good as you would expect, we said hello, I placed my order and he said 8 minutes. They said enjoy your meal, and that was it. Short but sweet.
