Great cosy pub with a lovely fireplace, had a lovely family roast with our baby too, ''twas delicious. I'd recommend you book a table as it's under new management and once word gets out about the food it's going to get even busier. �
Always love coming to the Signalman, especially now with Big Sam's Kitchen in residence and the amazing summer BBQs! The pork tacos from the BBQ were amazing, and the small plates make great pub/sharing food that hit the spot - particularly the amazing pork belly skewers. Generally find it to be really good value for a Brighton pub, around £7.50 for an aperol spritz is pretty decent!
HUGE portion which was absolutely delicious. We had the pork belly which had a generous portion of pork and a lovely crunchy slab of crackling. They have takeaway boxes at the ready if you can't finish it (I couldn't!) But that meant I got to enjoy more delicious pork the next day!
Love, love, LOVE this pub. So many great pubs to choose from in Brighton, but this is the one I most regularly feel like going to. The food coming from Big Sam's kitchen is outstanding - amazing casual food during the week - try the loaded tater tots, or the Korean pork belly skewers - and incredible Sunday roasts. Not to be missed.
Such a great place to hang out as well. If you're a Brighton and Hove fan, you'll be amongst friends! The bar team are fab - always full of smiles, and happy to help.

Great pub in a great location, food people and staff are always spot on. Never had any trouble in the pub, the people who come and drink there are a lovely bunch, bit of a locals pub too which is nice but non locals are warmly welcomed. The garden is a huge sun trap on a decent day and they have a secret garden around the back!
What a truly exquisite pub! The staff all look like Hollywood A-Listers and give superb service with welcoming smiles. The food is delicious, especially the Sunday roast, epic! If you’re in Brighton this place is well worth a visit. Fist rate, thumbs up and all the stars. 🤩

To add to this, I’ve up there a couple of times the last few weeks to watch the rugby World Cup and, despite us probably being the only people watching it (especially the non-England games), they’ve always tried to find us a tv to put it on and been super accommodating!

Love going to this pub. Very friendly and welcoming such great staff always. Food is quality and great selection of beers. Easy to get to. Also has such a great atmosphere. Dogs are welcome and have treats available
Great vibes and killer roasts! I had a delicious, huge portion of pork with perfect crackling and the cauliflower cheese was gooey, stringy and banging. Bar staff are always lush, and really accomodating (moving tables, putting on sport for us) and it's just the best pub in town!
Excellent roast. Really good greens, gravy and roast potatoes. We've recently been to the pub that one Brighton's best roast last year, and this blew it out of the water. Music was ace too.
The pub is lovely and spacious with a generous garden that's great to hang out in the summer.
Lovely pub and garden. Had the nicest pub roast I've had in ages and more recently a really tasty burger. Just losing a star here because of cheaping out with your condiments. Please lose the ketchup sachets (more packaging is bad for the environment) and they were awful quality with added sweeteners. It's perfectly possible to source cheap ketchup and mayo that don't contain additives.
