Really good place for a carvery, lovely food and dessert. Very affordable especially on a Sunday which is surprising. Brilliant service too.

Food was very nice this visit especially roast parsnips. What we didn’t like why the gent serving us the carvery about 2pm ish 4 April was abrupt and nearly threw our meal at us. There was a young girl clearing the tables who was the opposite, she was superb, very helpful, cleaned our table without asking and was very attentive and kind and didn’t stop smiling. Thank you to her.

Had Ellelouise as a server, lovely and polite!! Looked after me and the family as i didn’t know how to order the food, she was so helpful. The food was absolutely lovely. Wouldn’t recommend anywhere else!

Nice pub, easy to access and good parking.
The servicer who showed us to our table was polite and friendly and talked us through the ordering process.
We both chose the carvery, being a Saturday the priced increased by £3 to £11.99 which I thought was expensive.
The meats on offer Turkey, Gammon & Beef was cut very thinly but still nice & tasty.
Plenty of hot veg and nice gravy.
We didn’t have desserts as too full but the cake and ice cream displays looked delicious!

Frequent The Cedar a few times a week. All the staff are fab but special mention to Diane. She’s always bubbly, welcoming and altogether a great worker. Diane is an asset to the team. The carvery is always tasty and a good selection of lagers. Always great to visit.

Highly recommend for a pleasurable family meal, phoned to book a table and the gentleman on the line was extremely helpful. On arrival we were greeted and shown to our table, the service was very quick. We opted for a main meal from the menu which arrived in a timely manner and the carvery was all fresh with very good choice of meat and veg. The whole experience was thoroughly enjoyable and then the cake away was quite literally the icing on the top once we arrived home and had room for more. Very much looking forward to another visit. Thank you!
