A really welcoming friendly pub that serves excellent food. We went there yesterday for lunch with friends. We were so busy talking that we were late sitting down but there was no rush. The staff were lovely. Attentive and relaxed. The food was excellent . We then spent another 3 or so hours talking and were not put under any pressure to leave our table.
This place is a real gem.

Amazing Sunday Roast I have had. The Yorkshire pudding is on point, vegetable served on the size with Gravy sauce.

Only cons is the restaurant is quite busy so no staff to take care for walk-ins. My friend did order and bring drinks by himself.
Wow ! This stunning little pub/restaurant really delivers. Tried it for the first time and was not disappointed. Immaculately clean , the staff are 2nd to none in delivering top class service . We both went for the belly pork and crackling roast dinner , it has to be the tastiest roast I've had when dining out, for me the gravy is the crown on any roast , in this place the gravy is bottomless and stunning . For a treat we both went for the apple & damson crumble with a small saucepan of custard, was amazing . Would advise to book in advance , try it , you will not be disappointed 😋❤️👍
Had a lush date night last night with my husband! Great service, lovely waitresses & amazing chefs! The new head & sous chef are brill & they cooked us amazing food! 10/10 & will definitely be going back there! Highly recommend. Pizza was delicious, those halloumi fries were the best!! & the chocolate bomb dessert! Oh my!
Very welcoming atmosphere there. Last minute decision to go out for food, went there on a recommendation from a very good friend. It wasn't too busy. We were seated quite quickly, drinks orders were taken after about 5 minutes which gave us time to look over the Menu. Our Food order was taken a short while after we had been served our drinks. Our food arrived in a timely manner, and was absolutely delicious.
We went to the Old Cottage on a Saturday night, and we booked a table in advance, which I would recommend doing. However, we arrived early to grab drinks first and were able to easily find seats in the bar area. They have a vast Drinks menu with some really nice cocktails available. The food was delicious, can recommend the chicken burger. The summer pavlova was one of the nicest desserts I've had!!
The service at the Old Cottage is fantastic, they were quick to check if we needed drink refills or ready to order. The atmosphere is lovely here too, whether food or just calling in for drinks. We had a really great evening out here - will definetly be back.

My poached egg wasn’t runny but I still enjoyed it.
I will advise to temper the red pepper flakes on the squid. It’s matching up but not too much as it was on my husband’s plate.
All in all a very pleasant experience and I am recommend it!
Great food, couldn't fault the burgers with portion sizes being satisfying.
One negative, the service a little slow, one more waiter or serving staff would have been better.
However, staff were friendly and helpful when approached.

Recently had wonderful experience celebrating a birthday here. The staff were incredibly accommodating, taking great care to cater to all food allergies and intolerances. The service was exceptional, making the experience pleasant and worry-free. I highly recommend this to anyone seeking a welcoming and accommodating experience.

What a great place this is. It truly lives up to recommendation. Clean, refined, buzzing resturant. Lovely atmosphere and the Team are naturally friendly and efficient despite it being so busy.
The food is freshly prepared, beautifully presented and full of flavour. Generous portions. No wonder it's advisable to book well in advance!
