Lake Spice

Probably one of the finest Indian restaurants Cardiff has got, right down to the atmosphere, food, the layout and service, the various dishes all had mouth watering flavours, nan breads were just melting in the mouth, the service provided by staff was outstanding, the plates ( heated up before being placed on table), cutlery, glasses were extremely clean, the other thing that I noticed was quality of air inside, which didn't leave heavy curry smell on your clothes, maybe I'm being too fussy but I think it counts. They also had a good selection of wines, and drinks, even down to the soft drinks being branded and in individual bottles. Finally the prices, again outstanding £227 for 8 of us including 3 bottles of wine and soft drinks, that's under £30 pounds per head, a bargain!!!!. Overall an absolute and excellent experience and will visit again and would highly recommend to anyone who wants to taste Indian cuisine at its best.

Lovely sit down restaurant at a great location in Cardiff. It was a last min decision to have an Indian and didn’t have time to book a table. Wasn’t a problem finding a seat and the staff were very helpful. We ordered the set meal and a couple of drinks. The food arrived in good time and was lovely. We had a great time and will be on our list for another visit.

We had a brilliant meal. Staff were funny made our time enjoyable. Refreshing to have staff that had a good sense of humour. They seemed happy and relaxed despite being busy which helps create a great ambience. I had a curry from the specials and it was delicious. All freshly cooked. I often feel disappointed after most Indian food if too oily not spicy enough etc but lake spice did not disappoint. I had a very messy toddler with me but the restaurant catered and we felt very welcome. I was pleased with prawn Puri starter. Homemade dips and lovely naan too. We will be back again.

Lake spice is a great place, I went to collect my order so I can try the food befor sitting in the restaurant. When I walked in to collect the food they made me felt welcomed and even said take a seat while I wait for the food and I didn't even book a table. The staff there was great and the place it's self is so warming and it's like a happy place. It was so chilled in the restaurant. It's a nice place. The food is spot on and was very nice and it's great sizes to the point I had left overs which I'm sure I will eat later. %100 next time I want food there I will be sitting in.

Visited lake spice yesterday with a few friend's.some of my family members are already regulars here,so we finally decided to give it a whirl yesterday.Where do i start from start to finish the standard of food and service was next level.poppadoms with dips tottaly fresh,chilli pickle was a win win,the king prawn poori 9.8 outa 10,mains were exceptional carrying the same rating.I Highly reccomend tge lake spice.The whole while Slstaff went the extra mile,even with the restaurant full. Well done guys keep up the great standards. 👍👌
