Neighbourhood Kitchen

Neighbourhood kitchen is an absolute gem! I had been following them on Instagram for a while so when I finally got a booking slot I was over the moon. We had the £10 lobster menu and it did not disappoint! The staff were the real bonus - so helpful and full of character. They also spoilt our doggo who we got to take… yes their dog friendly! We’re planning to go back again for another menu. Highly recommend!

Our second visit to this wonderful little independent place. Small, intimate venue, with friendly and welcoming staff. This time we had the lobster, pretty much all the menu! The food was spot on, tasty, hot and fresh. Every mouthful was delicious. Love the chips! This really is a little gem of a place. Early booking is advised as they usually book up fast and have a long wait list too. We will be back for more delicious food soon.

What a great find!! Amazing little place! Where else can you get a whole lobster for £10!! We visited for this, however we got carried away. Arrived,thought its small in here, 16 people max. That explains reservations needed!! Welcomed by two great staff, drinks first. Good selection of beers and cocktails so very happy with that. Sat down, then the fun began. Looked at the menu and lost the plot!! Ordered the lobster mac nd cheese, the thermidor, the lobster rolls, the croquettes, the corn ribs and fries!!!. My word, within 15 mins it started arriving!! Hot,fresh and so so very very tasty. Did question what we had ordered but smashed it!! No more room for drinks!! So after thanking the bar staff and chefs, we left for our room. Did I not mention they also have accomodation!!! Oops SOZ! Yes they do! Our room was great, large bedroom, very clean and tidy. Tea, coffee( Nepresso machine) and fridge. Milk from the restaurant in little milk bottles. Large En suite with shower over bath and sustainable product. One request though, can I have a chair/ seat between the windows for next time please!! Yip we are going to return without doubt next one is the Camembert offering. Stay and dine again.

Great service and relaxing atmosphere - almost like being on the island of Jamaica itself. Pretty, tasty drinks, and the food is wow - never had corn ‘riblets’ before (delicious), and the best bit of course were the different options of lobster, so much lobster, and cooked brilliantly! We’ll be back!
