Khan's At The Waterloo

An absolute hidden gem of a restaurant. Accommodated 4 of us at short notice. Portions are huge and flavoursome. Vegan and veggie options available and the chef is happy to adjust the heat of dishes to suit your palate. Unfortunately we live 200 miles away but will definitely be back next time we are in Carlisle.

Ordered for collection and had to wait approx 20 minutes after stated collection time, but the place was packed and for good reason so all is forgiven. The sweet naga masala was one of the best curries I’ve ever had. You can really taste the flavour of the homegrown naga chillies. Masala chips also brilliant. Never been impressed by them but these were superb. Partners garlic chilli chicken also outstanding. If we drive up to Scotland again next year we’ll be coming here again.

After being extremely impressed by a takeaway we had from Khan’s we decided to book into the restaurant for a meal. The food was every bit as good as the takeaway and the atmosphere in the restaurant was warm and welcoming. The staff were pleasant and attentive and checked throughout the evening if we wanted more drinks and if we were happy with our meals. We will definitely be returning and recommending Khan’s to all our friends. ((Edit: I have just written this review and after posting it I noticed the previous review. I do not know where these people have been for their meal, but it definitely wasn’t Khan’s!))
