Brick Kitchen And Bar

Great food! It's on the pricier end but not your usual cuisines. The only complaint was that it was extremely cold inside. They have an interesting tent outside with gas heat lamps. I think the draft was coming from that back door. I could hardly feel my toes. Other than that, the service was great and enjoyed every item I had.

Was in downtown Carlisle late Friday afternoon and decided to have an early dinner, Brick was recommended so we gave it a try. Went in around 4:30 and we were the only diners, the bar seemed pretty active though. Waitress was very pleasant and helpful, place is plain but tasteful. I had the daily special duck breast, finished with a teriyaki glaze, stir fried veggies and ginger mashed potatoes. It was delightful! Duck was done perfectly medium rare, veggies crisp but done, potatoes good but didn't taste the ginger. My wife decided on a turkey burger with a side of risotto. She thoroughly enjoyed it. I sampled it and agree. Waitress was attentive, food was presented beautifully and the desserts carrot cake for me, raspberry/lemon cake for my wife, once again beautifully presented and delicious. Try this place you won't be disappointed. We left about 5:40 and there was very little seating left. They do take reservations.

Attempted to seek out a new restaurant to dine at today for lunch. Mission deemed successful!!! We were greeted promptly at the door. We chose outdoor seating because it was such a beautiful day. We were lead to the back of the restaurant to a quaint outdoor seating area with a canopy tent. After choosing our seat, we discovered a wonderful herb garden that had just been planted. All employees were very pleasant, and they discussed with us how the restaurant utilizes said herbs in the restaurant. The food was excellent and delivered in a very timely manner! We will definitely be making our way back to the Brick next time we're in Carlisle! Kudos to all employees working that day! Job well done!
