59 reserved parking spots. The parking lot is not clean. There's a Denny's inside for those that like it. This place is so popular that the fuel prices are very high here. There's a BOSS shop for truck repairs and I don't know when it's open because it's closed right now. But it's really popular and and the only time to find parking is in the early mornings. They do allow dropped trailers for a time limit if you talk to the fuel desk.

FLYING J TRAVEL CENTER at 1501 HARRISBURG PIKE, CARLISLE, PA 17013 is one place where 'GIANTS' (18 wheeler trucks or less) stop over. Truckers who do stop, are surely welcome at FLYING J. They can eat, fill their huge tanks with fuel, use the restroom, change clothes as well as relax, until they hit the road again. I went inside FLYING J by chance. The target that morning was the EMPRESS (DENNY'S). If you read my review on DENNY'S, you should understand EMPRESS...she is so very, very special! Wait just one minute! Before I write a romance novel out of this review, I will try to stick to FLYING J TRAVEL CENTER! Ok, now back from romanceville, FLYING J offers so much to customers. Inside, you can purchase DAIRY PRODUCTS, FRESH FRUITS, SNACKS, SODAS, FRESH COFFEE, CARPACCIO, CANDIES, COOKED FOOD ITEMS at a SELF SERVE BAR. ALSO, they have CELLPHONE ACCESSORIES, HEADPHONES, EAR BUDS, WIRELESS ESSENTIALS & CB RADIOS ECT. THEY SELL MY FAVORITE...CLOTHES, JACKETS, HOODIES, T-SHIRTS, GLOVES, BASEBALL CAPS, STUFFED ANIMALS, TOYS, and they (or DENNY'S) have a display case with JEWELRY for purchase. They even satisfy SMOKERS with smoking products and CHEWING TOBACCO, as well as have an ATM MACHINE. I can go on and on of items FLYING J have for customer to purchase. Drum roll please, I saved the best for 'LAST', I checked out the men's restroom while there, and it was CLEAN! THANK YOU FLYING J TRAVEL CENTER!

I was on my way to biking the nearby LeTort Spring Natural Trail but stopped here for a slice of pizza. Somehow the young lady cashier didn't like me very much. When it was my turn, she stepped away from the cash register and went to the hot food section. From there she greeted the gentleman behind me, not sure if they knew each other, but I realized she had just skipped me. The manager seemed to have made the same observation and exchanged glance with me. I shrugged my shoulder. The manger came and asked what I needed then instructed the young lady to ring me up. I wanted a drink to go with the slice of pizza, so she told me to get it at the fountain machine without ringing me up. When I came back of course now there were 2 new customers in front of me. I felt vert frustrated that she literally gave me a run-around. The other cashier's on the other side saw me and flagged me over to his cash register and rang me up. The extra star is for him! Thank you!! This facility was clean and the pizza was good, but the service I received from the first cashier was unacceptable. PS. This was not my first visit, but it's still confusing to me what each cashier register is for, or if there's is a difference.

I stopped here last night to park my truck and get a good nights rest. I woke up to pay for a shower and get refreshed. After getting into the shower I found that the shower head was pouring water as if the handle hadn’t been shut off. Come to find out is that the handle o-ring is wore out allowing the water to push through. Also the floors hadn’t been cleaned. There was debris in the corners. There was no soap in the shower dispenser. Lastly, the toilet was not cleaned. I am posting pictures and a video to show management what needs to be done to provide their customers with a clean environment. Future customers should complain if they get in a shower that is not clean or needs attention because I’m sure management or the shower attendant won’t take it upon themselves to do the repairs and clean what needs to cleaned.

We love FJ most Truckers do. But if you have this kind of shower service your gonna lose many drivers out there. The manager should pay more attention to his co-employees. The shower room that we had was nasty, really nasty. Sorry for the photo guy's but people especially costumers should know this. Costumers deserves a right and good service.
