On the first visit to Chelmsford we found this lively pub close to all amenities, close to central park, nicely decorated, indoor and outdoor seating, great atmosphere, lovely food, great service, pool tables, dart board, live TV and friendly people.
We came here each day to grab a bite, chill out and just to have a nice start to the day ahead few pints and bit of banter with the locals. Will return on future visits.
Some great live music, food pretty good as well although no vegan cheese at the time and despite saying they would add extra chips instead, didn’t! Don’t forget to provide your car reg at the door, my wife ended up with a fine as we forgot as in a bit of a rush 💸

This is a brilliant pub! The fish and chips could rival the stuff you get at the seaside. I enjoy the atmosphere that the team have created. I enjoy my visits. Recommended giving it a visit soon. Melissa and Steve are wonderful
This pub has fabulous facilities and after its recent refurbishment the garden is a must visit on a sunny day with a outdoor screen so all your top events can be seen whilst visiting. Pool and darts and great entertainment on the bill regularly and very reasonable prices for drinks. Super friendly staff, the owners have got it spot on here x
Lovely pub. Very friendly staff. Don't forget to put your car reg in or you will be fined but you don't have a time limit as long as your using the pub.
Owners and staff are lovely, my Daughter and son in law had their vows renewal there it's a lovely place
So this is without a doubt, the absolute best pub that I’ve ever visited since 1992 when I lived in Watford, I have been in Chelmsford for four years and since Steve and Melissa, Sarah Chris Sadie and Leone took over the pub about a year and a half ago. The place is truly the best family friendly orientated pub in Chelmsford. The best love for live music the best food with the amazing chef. Chris always your friend and smile, always a shoulder to lean on always a face to talk to. I cannot recommend this pub highly enough in my early days as a contractor working away from home. This would’ve been my dream pub . I would love to live with these guys because they are family without blood.
If this is not the best pub in Chelmsford, well i dont know which one is. A wonderful range of drinks that are far too cheap i only wish there was a gratuity option. Food fit for a king and toilets so pristine i would be happy to eat my dinner from. Service is exceptional ive never felt more welcome 🤪
Very friendly pub with helpful bar staff and great sunny beer garden, Often visit with a group of friends who equally comment on welcoming hospitality.
