Jonas At Gl50

Spent an incredible evening at Jonas at GL50. It was a special occasion and the team went above and beyond to make sure my partner and I had a great experience. The food, wine, and service were all very generous and there’s no risk you go home hungry after the tasting menu! Don’t miss the wine pairing! Thanks to Jonas and team!!

Outstanding. A little Michelin Guide find. We drove for 1.5 hours on a whim to try the tasting menu. It was a thoughtfully crafted experience with each dish presented alongside a little insight to the ingredients and thought process. It's a secret menu. Some lovely and original combinations. I don't want to give any spoilers but I think you should try it. I’m going to visit again.

Wow. From start to finish, just wow. The setting, service and of course the food were all impeccable. My lovely friend treated me to the 7 course tasting menu for lunch. It was incredible. All of the flavours were insane, and the chef coming out with each dish to explain made it very special. Literally one of the best meals of my life, and without a doubt the best sticky toffee pudding I've EVER had!

Fine, fine dining! Interesting skillful flavours. I particularly enjoyed the turbot with the langoustine bisque (bisque not pictured). Well presented and very tasty. Even my family who can sometimes be intimidated and dismissive of more advanced culinary practices really enjoyed their meals. The space is nice too, will be visiting again!

We decided to try GL50 for our third wedding anniversary. We will definitely be returning for our fourth! We loved everything about our experience. Anastasia, our host, was incredible. She alone made the night for us, and I will be recommending GL50 to friends and family based on how she treated us throughout the night. We never felt like we'd been waiting too long, never felt rushed and always felt like she was there to make our night special. Jonas, the executive chef, deserves a michelin star. There were certainly times where we thought something seemed a bit "out there" - namely the dark chocolate and cabbage ice cream - but it was perfect. Beyond the weird and wonderful, the scallops melted in your mouth and the beef ribs were cooked to perfection. To top it all off - We were given a surprise present for our anniversary. They didn't need to do this, and I'm sure to them it's a small gesture, but to us it really made our night one to remember. We'll definitely be returning soon.

GL50 is definitely a place to try!!! I guarantee you will not be disappointed with its creative, delicious, extraordinary and sensationally beautiful food 🍽🙌👌😍 The atmosphere has a relaxed fine dining feel, beautifully decorated surroundings and fantastic service. We simply cannot fault this place whatsoever, and it was by far one of the best meals and experiences we've had eating out in a long time! We sincerely recommend this awesome place and would encourage you to visit any chance you get!!!! ENJOY!!!

I went to the new GL50 Restaurant on Christmas eve with my girlfriend and her mother. We done the tasting menu with wine pairing. The friendly staff welcomed us when we arrived and we had some champagne on arrival. And drank our drink at the seating at the front. The food was very good and the wine pairing was great. Very similar decor to what was in The White Spoon previously, but why change when The White Spoon was good anyway. A nice touch was that for each course the chef that cooked that meal brought it through and served you. I felt this was a nice touch. The one comment I would make is that the name of the restaurant makes it hard to find online and this may be limiting to start with until the restaurant grows its reputation. As when you search GL50 Restaurant online it tends to shows all restaurants in the GL50 postcode and the official website is further down the list of results. Worth a try.
