A cozy pub with with a lot of history and architecture. Way bigger than what appears from outside. Staff are very friendly and hospitable. They do a have a few screens with sports on, but unsure what events are covered. Did not try any food as the kitchen was closed but the menu appears to have a fair selection.

We visit here regularly for a bottle of wine and their excellent value 3 small plates for £15 - which are also delicious and we’ve been through the menu. Staff are friendly and efficient. It’s a quirky place with thick brick walls, resident ghosts, lots of nooks and crannies - the best of Chester in a pub. Highly recommended.
