Dominic's Of New York

Stopped by Lowe's to grab a few items around lunch time and the smell of sausage, onions and peppers drew me to see Fernando. I've always loved Dominic's sausage and had been quite awhile since I've had one. Now I'm not quite positive that its a true Dominic's of New York sausage, but Fernando The Taco Man, cooks a mean one. I got a lunch special, sausage with onions and peppers with some spicy brown mustard, a bag of chips and soda. Everything was cooked to perfection. Fernando was very talkative a d chatted with me while cooking. It just a small trailer in front of Lowe's, just like old times, been here for years, butnI believe its gone through a number of owners. Looked like Fernando also did tacos and had Thursday and Friday specials on them. 3-6pm is his Happy Hour to get 25% off. There was a tiny little bar table you could sit at. Also seemed to be some picnic tables on the side. Was quite impressed with everything I had here. I would definitely come back and then something again if I was in the area. Great little establishment that totally deserves a good following of people.

I will say that the service is quick, the bread is soft and Fernando is always there to chit chat with his customers, however, the steak quality, in my opinion, has gone downhills. There was a time that the “steak” was actually beef strips that they would chop up on the flat grill. Now it’s just SteakUmms

This is the first time I’ve eaten at the stand since it changed hands. But I will say that the food is really good I had the tacos de Barbacoa, and it was very delicious and the salsa Rojo Was beautifully spicy but so delicious on the tacos. Definitely will come back here to try the other tacos that Fernando has to offer.

I've enjoyed Dominic' s over the years ,whenever I go to one it was always the same no matter what lowes it was in front of but this one is different this guy is not using the same type of food like the other stands but still wants to charge the same peices..I went for 100% pure beef Franks and got some grey colored chicken and pork mixed hotdogs!!! Highly disappointed guess I'll have to go way to the broad st stand even tho this one is 10min up the road from me smh..lo
