Great place to come for morning coffees and mid-afternoon cake. Staff & customers alike are all super friendly, in keeping with the whole of Cockermouth.
We tried the carrot cake and the lime cake one afternoon.. they were both delicious!
Will be coming back here for more treats and excellent coffee when I’m visiting again.

Update 2023. Gone really down hill 😕 staff not really interested and on their phones. But watching the staff cutting a slice of carrot cake in half and then seeing me watching and then changing her mind… depressing tbh. It was nice though even a bit mashed up. No apology either.

I live 16miles away & visit 2/3 times a week always have 3 cappuccinos. Best coffee shop by a country mile, always plenty of people to talk to in there if you make the effort. Coffee is always great, staff are fantastic. Visit you won’t be disappointed

My dad is a regular here, he goes on about the best coffee on town so I popped down to see him today, I had a flat white and a latte... Exceptional, the DR knows his coffee, I also had a home made sausage roll, it was pure perfection. A cozy little cafe on the main Street, to get your coffee and cake fix, staff are friendly and humble and very welcoming. Would give 6 stars if I could. Thanks and see you again soon! 👍👌😁☕

THE BEST COFFEE IN LAKE DISTRICT!!
Having survived on costa coffee for the first day, I knew I had found an oasis as soon as I got a sniff of their coffee while walking past.
Perfectly balanced speciality coffee + a very friendly chat with Steven about other great cafe's/local places to visit.
Oh and the vegan lemon drizzle cake was the most deliciously moist vegan cake we have ever had 😍
These pictures don't do it any justice but hopefully give you an idea of the quality coffee and cakes on offer.
MUST VISIT CAFE if you are anywhere remotely close to Cockermouth!

Top notch coffee. No surprise it seems to have a steady flow of locals. Unfortunately not dog friendly inside - you will need to sit out the front to share coffee time with your pooch.
They sell coffee beans too - either £8 or £10 for a 250g bag, which is quite high...

Fantastic little coffee shop. One of the best barista’s I have ever encountered. Obviously loves his job and deserves a medal in customer service. A genuine welcome and great coffee. Could not recommend highly enough.
