Food was delicious, with a relatively short wait time. The hanging kebab was exceptional! The young waiter with glasses gave us excellent service - will definitely come back here again.

My two friends and I have had a great dinner here. The service was excellent. Our waiter was very professional and polite and they've made sure that my food was gluten free since I have an intolerance. Really nice place, I would go back.

Fabulous. Really lovely night celebrating 2 birthdays. First class food (so fresh and well prepared), brilliant service, immaculately clean. Perfect. Couldn't have asked for more.

Would make a brilliant smokey old jazz lounge from the 20's. However our visit was minus the smoke and jazz but the atmosphere is lovely (Sunday evening), food is hearty and very well presented, tasting very good too.. staff were absolutely amazing, engaged and eager to make your visit as pleasant as possible! Suspect it can be a bit chaotic at peak times, Friday/Saturday nights with the drinking crowd but catch it off peak and it's a wonderful experience 👍

Called in for food the night before a wedding. About 6 or 7 of us. Service and food excellent. They did mess up my burger but was quickly sorted and they offered me a free pint. Would recommend, tastey food and lots of it.

Love the fact they now do a "small plate" rather than "starter" menu. It meant we could enjoy a smaller portion and add a side dish, and still have room for desert, without feeling like we were being cheapskates. Lovely service. Only drawback was we didn't realize it was cash only for the first 2 weeks under new management, but the cash machine at Sainsburys was only 20 yards away across the road.

Really enjoyed the delicious food at Frederick’s, especially their garlic mushrooms and salmon in a lemon and dill butter. It’s a must visit if you are in Cockermouth.
