We had such a lovely stay. Arrived and immediately was upgraded from a standard room to a suite with sea view We had been travelling for a few hours and we're ready for a hot bath and quick change. Easily achieved before we drove into Newport for supper. About 15 mins away. Easy parking on our return we needed to scan some papers ready to email. Easily achieved with their help in the office. Thank you. Off to bed and a comfortable sleep. Quiet. Peaceful. Little touches of a bottled water and plenty of tea coffee on our room tray were welcome. Our first breakfast. The waiting staff are very attentive and fast Lots of choices freshly made and brought in a truce. We were attending several parties over the three days and cannot praise the hotel staff enough for their help and geniality. Would recommend absolutely. Oh I forgot to mention the sea views the proximity to Cowes and the bracing sea air. Wonderful.

Had a lovely 2 night stay at the hotel last weekend. Our rooms were very clean, spacious and well equipped, as were the public areas. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful evening meal in the restaurant and the breakfasts were freshly cooked to order with a large menu choice available. The hotel is just a short, level walk from Cowes high street with its many shops, bars and restaurants. Views from some of the rooms and public areas over the Solent are superb with big ships passing close by on their way in or out of Southampton.
All in all a lovely place to stay whilst on the Island and I highly recommend it.

Hosted our wonderful wedding day plus extended stay, beautiful venue, well organised, fair price, staff were fantastic - nothing was too much trouble, food was absolutely phenomenal. Rooms were spotless, cleaned and stocked daily. They really went above and beyond to accommodate us, our requests and help our day run smoothly. Couldn't be more happy. Thank you all xx
Spent a 4 day break at this hotel. Weather perfect, hotel rooms were very good, comfy, spacious and clean. Right on waterfront and lots to see.
Food was excellent, freshly prepared and great selection.
Service was first class, we were really well looked after by all staff, very friendly and helpful.
Close to some of main attractions on the island.
Well done New Holmwood Hotel
Went to The New Holmwood for an anniversary meal in their restaurant as non residents. This hotel is local to us, and we know the food is excellent, the staff are friendly and welcoming (nothing is too much trouble, if it's within their power to provide it they will). The position of the restaurant overlooking the solent and the wonderful sunsets couldn't be better. Having tried many other eateries on the island if we want something quiet and good we book the New Holmwood one of our favourites.
Unfortunately we seemed to get the smallest room in the hotel although we stayed 3 night. Food was very good, service good although too many staff differing shifts so they didn't get to know us. Totally relaxed on our visit just watching the world go by.
Menu choices and food excellent. Very reliable. Service always good. Lovely location. Any time of the year. Not stayed there but would love to. ❤

A bit disappointed with the service in the restaurant. They forgot one dish, the extra napin we asked for and the water we asked for right in the start never showed up. Busy night? No.... not really. Two tables apart from ours. Room was good, food was good. Service in reception was excellent.
Had a lovely lunch during Cowes Week at the Holmwood. The restaurant service was very attentive and the view across the solent spectacular. Close up view of the sailing, in the dry! Lovely terrace for when dry...
A lovely experience...
Went here for lunch. The whole experience was perfect. We sat on the terrace looking out at sea and had great customer service and good food. The prawn cocktail was delicious. A very relaxed, peaceful, enjoyable time.
We had our wedding at the holmewood on the 15th July, the staff were outstanding and couldn’t do enough for us!
The room was amazing, it was very clean and a real warm feeling.
The venue is amazing with beautiful views, lovely food and a great atmosphere.
The organising of wedding with the new holmewood staff was really relaxing David and Julian were really easy going and happy to help with any enquires we had.
Me and my wife would 100% recommend the new holmewood as a wedding venue or evening just an overnight stay/vacation.
