Simply the best icecream I've ever had. A great choice of flavours. My flavour reconditions are Salted caramel Vanilla Mint chocolate chip Chocolate The Banana isn't bad either tastes just like the sweets. I like going for the 500ml pot thats about 12 scoops. Its far superior to Hargen Das and ben and Jerry's. A must visit when in Dawlish. And major thing for me Gluten Free options. I

Best ice cream ever! We had an ice cream cart at our wedding back In June and it was a huge hit with the guests. We got to pick our flavours and a had the cutest little personalised wafers. Jack and everyone we met were so lovely and couldn't do enough to help We look forward to visiting your dawlish shop again for our next ice cream fix :)

Hands down, the BEST desserts around! The customer service is exceptional, nothing is too much trouble. I am a huge fan of the cookie dough and if they don’t have any made up, they go above and beyond to ensure it is available the next day. Credit where credit is due, I have recommended to many friends and family. If you’re in the area, I would definitely pop in and try it for yourself!

After searching Exmouth for a good non-dairy/vegan ice cream for nearly a week, a trip across the Exe estuary on the Starcross ferry and onward by the No.2 bus, Dawlish offered the perfect Ice Cream Parlour. It may not be the most prominent, but it certainly offers the best range. Today there were 6 vegan ice creams and sorbets. For me the Chocolate Sorbet and Chocolate & Cherry Ice Cream made for the perfect combination. The Local Scoop is certainly worth a visit.

Best Ice Cream Ever! You are missing out if you don't visit if you are in the area. We live locally and have to resist the temptation not to go every day! The hot chocolate is also amazing and will be my go to on cold wet days. My husband who has the ultimate sweet tooth also has a severe peanut/nut allergy and they were so good at making sure he could have an ice cream safely along with their recommendations of what he should avoid. We will be bringing all our family and friends when they come to visit, just for an excuse to keep going back 😂

Ladies and Gentlemen, if you haven’t visited The Local Scoop I can only say you are missing out. The ice creams were delicious and the vegan brownies were divine but the staff are what makes this place special, going above and beyond to makes every customer happy. I witnessed a child of about 8yo drop their ice cream. The staff immediately replaced it at no charge. There are plenty of establishments that would not do this.
