Great spot in the heart of Edinburgh, with the typical portuguese pastries and the best coffee in town!

It's my first time visiting them and I love the easy to reach location on leith walk. Absolutely adore the interior and admire it's carved high roof.
Overall the experience was pleasant and coffee was amazing. I wish they could start with at least English breakfast as well.

I have been here several times to drink a portuguese expresso much better than any other around.
Can't resist Pasteis de Nata and other treats.
Always take the opportunity to buy portuguese cheese and other stuff.
People are really nice and I always be a costumer everytime I go to Edinburgh 50 miles away from where I live.

The best coffee in town!!!

It is always a pleasure to visit Casa Amiga to drink a expresso or hot chocolate 🍫. The Portuguese pastry is very good also. I tried the milfolhas and the Nata and they were very good. It feels like we are in a Portuguese café.
They have also Portuguese food to do at home. You can buy Alheira for £2.95, which is a very good price. If you are not sure on how it's made you can ask to one of the staff.

The pastel de nata are every bit as good as in Lisbon. I try to stop in here for a few every time I am passing through leith. The other cakes look good too.

This newly opened Portuguese bakery on Leith Walk is a true gem. Not only is it the best coffee in Edinburgh, it also serves some pretty wicked sweet treats. I can literally feel my waistline expanding just from looking at the custard, cream and chocolaty pastries. Portugal is famous for their custard tarts, and the ones served at Casa Amiga take me right back to my holiday in Lisbon. My favourite coffee on the menu is a flat white; it has the perfect ratio of coffee to milky froth.
Hungry? try their ham and cheese croissant-  I don't know what they put in the pastry but it is delicious!
The bakery has a nice laid back feel to it and has extra downstairs seating for when it gets busy. They also stock some Portuguese soft drinks and sweets. It’s authentic, relaxed and relatively undiscovered. I LOVE this place.

Wonderful bakery which we visited yesterday. Good selection of sweet treats as well as some savoury options. I tried the chorizo cheese and ham bread thing (sorry I can’t remember the name) which was very tasty. The bread was very soft. I also had the cod fish cake which was also nice. Crispy on the outside and mushy on the inside. It was surprisingly tasty despite having it cold. The star of the show was the Pastel de nata which was amazing! Nice pastry on the outside and lovely custard on the inside. The lady that served us was also very friendly. I would love to come back to try something else next time because they have very authentic items.

Discover Portuguese, visit this cafe in Leith. Leith walk closed but the small businesses open as usual. This place open at 8am and close at 4 pm. Try their coffee, food and cold drinks, you will love it. Very clean, friendly staff, freshly cooked at their cafe. Really enjoyed this Portuguese coconut filled bun.

Lovely Portuguese cafe. Perfect spot to enjoy a coffee, some sweet treats and sunshine. They serve great hot drinks, Portuguese patisseries, fresh Pastel de Nata, homemade soup and lots of Portuguese products. Friendly and helpful staff, nice decor, Portuguese vibes all around and a very nice terrace with a few tables. Perfect spot to enjoy coffee and catch up with friends.

One of the absolute gems of leith walk. Fantastic snack shop with dare I say it better pastries than actually in Portugal. The staff is top notch and coffee is always perfect. Cannot say enough great things about this shop. Also have a great selection of Portuguese groceries.

I went here for a meeting with one of my clients, and I've had one of my best espresso in Scotland. My client has had one of their pastry that looks like homemade, and the ambient was very clean, and the staff behind the desk was professional and friendly. Wi-fi is also available.

Loved the vibe and decor of the place. Perfect location to stop by for a coffee if you’re ever on Leith Walk. Brilliant coffee and the cakes were delicious. I also got an eclair and pastel de nata for takeaway that were fantastic. They have a wide selection of pastries/cakes and savoury pies. Will definitely return!

Pastel de nata (Portuguese custard tarts) are very good! Regret not going for the buy 5 get 1 free offer! Will definitely be back. Staff are really friendly, and also there is seating downstairs, if it looks busy check with the staff! We didn’t realise there was extra seating.

When I went to Casa Amiga last year, they had alternative milks for those intolerant but nothing to eat apart from a cereal bar on the counter. They have now changed this to include the most delicious vegan cheesecake! I totally recommend this spot! The staff are always lovely too :)
