We very much enjoyed this place! The turkish borek (spinach pastry) was delicious and the Turkish Meze was full of great flavors. Lunch time was slightly crowded but nothing too bad, If in the neighborhood give Truva a try!
This Truva is a hidden gem near the shore in Leith. It has a nice view over the canal and the shop atmosphere spreads great vibes. We had the Turkish Meze and the chicken pesto panini (which were both fab). Even for a cup of coffee we will definitely come back here when in the neighborhood.
I visited here after taking a notion for a Turkish breakfast and it did not disappoint! The bread, meat and olives were all fresh and tasty.
My boyfriend had the full fry up and what I stole off his plate was delicious also :)
The price for our breakfasts was good and the place had a nice, quiet atmosphere with attentive but un-intrusive staff.
Will be visiting again!

Cafe Truva is a fantastic gem down by the shore in Leith. It has a continental cafe vibe with a nice family run atmosphere. I'll admit I order the same thing every time I go back- the mezze lunchbox but at £4 it is an absolute bargain. You get a freshly griddled pita and a tub of salad with dressings and olives, tomato couscous. humous, stuffed vine leaves, aubergines, green beans and a splendid crunchy, spicy green chilli to top it off. The flavours are subtle but mingle fantastically. You'll feel like you are being healthy but having a treat all at once.
I knew I would like this place as soon as I started queuing. It was early morning and the gentleman in front was asking for apple pie for breakfast.
My order wasn't as exciting, a couple of morning rolls - one bacon and one sausage to get the full range. Throw in a latte and tea and our order was complete.
These were some of the best morning rolls I'd had in Leith, so good that we had them again the next day! We'll be back to try out the lunch menu next weekend.

I had the loveliest lunch I have ever had in Edinburgh here. Kindest service, extremely fair prices for a beautiful meal. Couldn’t recommend it more highly! The Turkish tea was wonderful. I cannot wait to return.

I had breakfast here today and I have never left a review before but feel like I have to for this place! The atmosphere is so lovely and open, and the staff are so attentive and friendly without being overbearing. The food was also the best brunch I have had in edinburgh by a far shout, for a very reasonable price. I was pleased to see vegan options too, and the takeaway menu looked great. It makes me so happy to find places like these that have been created with so much love! Will definitely be returning.
Friendly, inviting, bustling little cafe by the water in Leith. Freshly cooked bacon rolls, with lots of options including haggis for those keen to enjoy some of Scotland’s finest breakfast menu ingredients.
Not a bad coffee, and very friendly service from the staff. On a sunny day it’s a delight to sit out the front and have a beautiful view of the water and cobbled street.
A cozy little nook rendering an authetic Turkish experience. Lovely ambience, super friendly service, and a great breakfast! Highly recommended.
I had the Turkish coffee with Turkish delight which was nice, with pistachios through the Turkish delight. My friend had a very generous portion of banana and walnut loaf I think. Nice young lads serving that made the cake too. Would visit again.

Very satisfying food. Filling and fresh. Lots of good vegetarian options, and my friend said the sausage was excellent. Perfect tea. Yummy sweets. Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff.
