Lovely hot cup of tea, nicely warmed breakfast roll and one of the Proclaimers came in. They keep it super tidy and clean.
Basic but good. Been going here for ages and so far haven't been overcharged. Menu is basic but good. Your not going to find any smashed avocados here. Friendly staff every time I've been. Can recommend for simple hearty food.
An often missed hidden gem in Newington, we came in here after hearing about their legendary pie and coffe, and its safe to say, it did not dissapoint! The pie was nice and warm with a lovely crust and piping hot filling. It came with ice cream and was one of the best apple pies I've had in a while! And the coffee - I can't tell you however many cups of coffee I've had in my life, and this is got to be one of the best! All in all, give newington cafe a shout if you're in the neighbourhood. You'll be missing out otherwise!
