Great Thai food, very authentic and real kick! Very much recommend! Bookings needed to secure seating and food!
Went in on Friday night. Candles and low lighting gave what is an ancient, very interesting and quirky pub, a great atmosphere. It was busy in both bars.
My pint ( London pride) was first class. No loud music no TVs no gimmicks. Just good beer and good conversation.
This pub so deserves to be busy every night. The hosts seem to care about the pub it’s beer and customers. I fully recommend it.
Nice atmosphere and a lot of character.
Friendly staff and nit overpriced
This is a wonderful old pub, with so many original features. Tony was so incredibly accommodating for our party of approx 16 for Saturday lunch. The upstairs was brilliant - we want another excuse now to come back and host a drinks session up there without the kids!
In hindsight, we should have asked for the fire to be on as upstairs was a little on the chilly side. The food was good and the drinks well priced, we were a very happy group and all loved the pub!
Staff were all lovely too!
Great little billiards room upstairs as well!
Had use of the private room upstairs which was really old and cool
Very nice historic pub. Nice place to be on a cold winter's night, with a roaring wood fire.
The new landlord/lady are really friendly and do a good range of traditional and Thai food.
They have a couple of private rooms upstairs for private functions.
Good range of Ales too.
Traditional ale house smothered in history. Building dates back to 1400's. Probably the cheapest drink you will have in Hertford. Definitely one to visit if you're visiting the town. Good landlord, plenty of atmosphere, cozy, easy to walk in, hard to leave! Open fire in winter. Has special events and music, see website or noticeboard.
I've lived in Hertford for nearly 4 years having previously lived in West London. I was delighted to learn when out for an impromptu pub crawl with at the weekend that there was a Fullers' pub and so we went to the White Horse. It's a lively cost little pub where we could not have been made more welcome. We stayed for just the one pint of London Pride, but we'll be back for sure. I understand they do a cracking Sunday lunch and saw it priced at £10.95 which is a great price. Look forward to going back.
Good service, nice people,. That's all u need !
Absolute cracking real ale pub. Our group drank the pub out of Hophead and it was our pleasure. The lady serving was lovely and the food looked gorgeous too but we didn't eat. We will be back
