The Three Swallows

We were a large family group of 7 and stopped on our walk for refreshment. The garden is absolutely beautiful and large enough for the tables to be very well spaced out and enough shade for all. Currently (July) they have service set up from an outdoor gazebo that you order from and it works very well. All staff were very helpful and an excellent range of drinks were on offer. We also had a delicious local ice cream to cool down! Definitely worth the walk a little out of the village centre.

Stopped there for Saturday lunch. At start I felt a bit awkward, but the main host soon turned out to be friendly and accommodating. Food came out quickly. Venison pie melting away in my mouth, proper golden chunky chips and plenty of side vegetables. Gorgeous late coffee to drink. I wasn't too keen on the fish (it seemed tasteless), but I usually don't have buttered fish anyway and my partner said it's ok. I noted that the butter was nice, crunchy and golden unlike some oily soggy ones I've seen. The decor is nice too. And it's dog friendly- at least the pub part what we've seen. There didn't seem to be a car park, but enough roadside parking opposite.
