I attended a modular synth jam night and really enjoyed it. The outside space was spacious and easy to get a table. The drinks were really nice and good prices. I didn't eat but it looked pretty decent to me. The entertainment space was really well equipped and all the necessary facilities were nearby. I guess the only mild quibble is the slightly arrogant bar staff person I came across.

Always enjoy visiting The Brunswick and last night celebrated a big birthday with Fred’s onsite Mexican food which was really delicious. The staff are always really lovely and helpful there and always have a great selection of top craft beers on the taps. We’ll definitely be going back for more amazing food and beer very soon a s would definitely recommend 🍻

Love this pub. It's not quite the closest to my house. The beer selection isn't quite the best. You can eat better elsewhere. But it does very well on all of those criteria. And it's a minute from the beach. And the staff are friendly. And they have a great live music/ party room. And a suntrap garden. All of which makes it pretty much my favourite pub.

Great beers and cool decor. Nice beer garden with covered area. One minute from the sea.
Music nights on Friday host some great bands.

Amazing staff. Live music happening all the time. Everything from punk to jazz.
Standing Jazz open jam every Tuesday night. Its hosted by house band of solid jazz musicians and open to guest musicians to sit in and do a song or two. Great workshop stage for new musicians. I’ve seen some very young (maybe teenagers) step up and play. Crowd is always very friend and supportive to newbies. Note if you go on jazz night, don’t chat when the band is playing. The culture is that of a listening room so 🤫

I would never have met this wonderful pub if I hadn't been told about it by a local. The jass session on the stage on Tuesday is a memory for life and best before a peaceful night's sleep.

Had a great Sunday roast from Fred's Kitchen. Good gravy, spiced red cabbage and that rare things of great roast potatoes! Left full & happy.

Awesome Sunday Roast from the new FRED's Kitchen at the Brunswick. Serving up mega portions and everything cooked to perfection. Good veg/vegan options as well. Will definitely be a regular fixture for us now 🙌🔥🔥🔥 thanks so much

I visited here for drinks and food with friends on Sunday.
We sat outside and were impressed by the size of the beer garden. It was busy so had a good vibe but there were still tables available. Some shaded by a canopy roof; others in the nice sunshine.
We were a little disappointed when we arrived to find that roasts were unavailable. It was almost 5pm on a Sunday so we understood that they may run out. However, we had booked our table for food and specified this in our booking so were surprised to find the kitchen had closed earlier. However, we were told there would be a burgers menu available from 5:30pm. This confused us as the kitchen was listed as shutting at 6pm on a Sunday but it clearly stayed open longer. Although we had wanted a roast, the burgers were all very tasty (we had a mix of meat and veggie). The chips were great although they were listed on the menu as 'fries' and they were more like chunky chip shop chips (no complaints from me though as they were delicious!).
All bar staff were friendly and the pub had a nice, welcoming atmosphere.
If you're set on eating a particular thing, I'd perhaps phone up to book to make sure everything will go smoothly. I'd certainly be happy to eat and drink here again though.
Only other downside was the toilet situation. Some were out of order and one of the in-order toilets had a broken seat. Not ideal. They were still far cleaner than those I have experienced in other pubs in the area, however.
Overall, it was a nice pub that I look forward to returning to - especially in nice weather when you can enjoy its garden.

Very quick and friendly service. Had a 3 meat Sunday roast and it was very good. Pigs and blankets were second to none. Good portion size and plenty of gravy.

Great beer, friendly staff and fabulous venue.

Large friendly pub, good sized room for gigs . Decent beers available . As good as it gets really.

It's a fun, down to earth pub. But of a dive, nice vibe. We like it. Great room downstairs for hire and private DJ's.

Good pub just between the town and seafront. Bar service was a bit slow at times depending on who was serving you. Got a music performance area, quite small but great atmosphere.

We rented the Venue for a wedding party and it was perfect! Andy and the team could not have been more helpful and were way more organised than we were! We had about 70 people and the room was just about perfect. The kitchen provided a buffet which we had so many excellent comments on. I would book the Brunswick every celebration now. Thanks so much!

Having visited the first time for a gig, I was pleasantly impressed.
Great backroom venue for music, good beer available in the main bar, and the food my friend had looked lovely, especially the chips I stole from him!
Staff were really nice as well.
All in all, a great vibe and nice experience.

I read about the £6 a plate deal throughout February so myself and two girlfriends thought we'd try it out last Friday. So glad we did as I can honestly speak for all three of us when I say that the food was delicious, some of the best we've had in a pub, ever! We shared the seafood platter, anti-pasti and cheese platter as well as the salt and pepper squid. They were all original and well thought out with top quality ingredients with well chosen chutneys and beautiful breads. It was all so tasty. We were three very stuffed and happy bunnies when we left. We will definitely be going again very soon!

We had our wedding celebration party at The Venue in The Brunswick in June. It was completely brilliant. Andy made the organisation simple and Anya is incredibly helpful. The bar staff were fantastic - particularly Zara and Ed - our guests couldn’t speak highly enough of them. Matt, the engineer, did a great job with the band we had booked and the food was excellent. The staff really make you feel that they were enjoying themselves too! We cannot recommend this place highly enough either as a potential venue for a private party, a brilliant venue for live music or simply as an excellent local boozer!

Never been before but we'd booked tickets for the (excellent) Paul Diello's Kate Bush night. What a great pub! Staff were efficient and friendly and more importantly, remembered what I was drinking (I didn't!). Also, prices were much more reasonable than neighbouring pubs. We ate and the limited menu was good - best burger in ages! And finally, the entertainment was great! And, finally, finally, the range of beer s exactly what I look for. Will definitely return.

Great night at The Brunswick. The food was really tasty even though the 'new kItchen was catering for a big crowd of us. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. Big thanks!
