It had a decent range of jams, sauces, marmalade etc, the root veg looked fresh and inviting as did the meat choices and pies. We bought marmalade for my hubby because we just know it has a nicer flavour than bulk made marmalade, lemon curd for me, I just love it. The pork stand pie had a kick to it which made it too spicy for me to enjoy, or was it the pork pie? Either way I really enjoyed the pie without the spicy kick. I'm really looking forward to the vanilla slice, oh and I added a medium size custard tart to our basket, yum. Don't drive past you could regret it because it also has a lovely little cafe which we didn't have time to sample unfortunately but I'm sure we'll make time next time we visit our family in Elland.

I had the graze breakfast and it was very tasty! The staff are very friendly and welcoming. It is a busy place due to it's popularity so there maybe some waiting time but the views over the valley will keep you busy

Took mum and brother for lunch today for the first time, absolute quality all 3 meals, black pudding and sausages top drawer, pie was full of tasty beef, fish and chips bang on, service great, will be back. Went and bought some great meat, cakes and chutneys from the superb farm shop afterwards, great visit.

Decent food, great views and good service. Unfortunately they don't take bookings and can get quite busy, which means coming here with any sort of time restriction (e.g. as a working person during the day) is a gamble that isn't really worth it. You might get in, you might waste half of your lunch stood outside waiting. I appreciate this is probably easier for the business but it's a bit rubbish for the customers.

Lovely food and fab staff. They were very patient and friendly with a rather stroppy 7 year old with us. He recently lost his mum and is prone to tears over very small things. Thank you for being so good. Food is great here but staff always make the difference.

Very courteous and helpful staff. My only complaint was my sandwich was stuffed with Rocket leaves which I hate, it did not mention on the menu that it contained it. There were fantastic views over the countryside from the restaurant. The food was very good.
