Fantastic breakfast at a great price, well cooked and well served, thank you.
I'm deducting a star for Morrisons Management not putting enough staff on.
The ladies who work there are clearly flat out, queues going around the corner and tables not cleared as the staff can't do 5 jobs at once even though they all appeared to be trying.
Thank you ladies, without your hard work there would be no cafe.
Took small grandchildren to the cafe today your staff are lovely very helpful and the food was great too thank you
We went for breakfast . my wife asked for poached egg on toast and I asked for the ultimate breakfast. To begin with, no beakers for hot drinks. We was told 10 minutes or use a paper cup. We used 1of each. We got sat down and this really nice waitress came and said they had no poached eggs and would scrambled be ok. I thought that poached eggs 🥚 were made fresh. The breakfast consisted of beans in a pot. ( that's good coz I can't eat them) . 3 bacon, 1/2 a tomato, 3 sausages, 2 black pudding, 2 whole flat mushrooms. 2 fried bread. Not bad but fried bread was very greasy . The mushrooms tasted very woody. Not nice. Every thing else was ok. Sadly there was a very noticeable shortness of staff. But the staff were very polite and efficient. Also they have clearly removed tables out of the restaurant. Was this the ultimate breakfast??? No. Would I go back ? Yes
Posted twice for some reason. One under morrisons n one under morrisons cafe. Cafe is really nice. Lovely food. And love my cups of tea.
I went for a Full English Breakfast this morning at Morrisons Holderness Road. It was my 1st time but I will be back. Everything was hot and cooked perfectly, especially the toast, hot with loads of butter. Staff were friendly, polite and cheerful. I was very impressed.
Fry up not bad nice staff 👌
Clean environment, happy staff members and good food. They cater well for allergies, and take reasonable precautions around the pandemic. Noone is allowed in without sanitising, and as a bonus they let you drink pop from the main shop if it's not available in the cafe.
The food is exactly as you would expect from a supermarket café. It's nothing groundbreaking but nothing to complain about.
The staff, however, are wonderful. I am a nervous wheelchair user and the staff here are extremely helpful every time. If I need help moving a chair everyone is more than happy to help. They are knowlegable about the menu, so when I have had questions about ingredients they have generally known the answer immediately. When I have needed a lactose free option, they have been more than willing to accommodate.
I wouldn't come here for a nice meal out or anything, but I do make it a point to get a coffee or something whenever I'm there. It's one of the few places I can go where accessibly isn't an afterthought and I don't feel like I need to apologise for my mobility issues. For me, that makes up for the stars lost by the food.
The food is priced at a sensible price for the quality of the food. The tables are kept clean. They is a bit of a problem with empty high chairs and ladies bag on wheels scattered around the place. However nice place.
Often short staffed and service can be slow - but the staff are great, do their best for you and food quality is quite good. Prices have increased a little but are very competitive.
