Visited here on a evening. You only had to count the people in house which accounted to 40. Staff did not hover over the table at any time during or after. Food was tasty with not being over hot.
We had desert with coffee and possibly stayed on site there for two hours.
Thanks to the staff for excellent service,
On a further booked for Christmas day meal. Had champagne on entrance, starter with trimmings. Seen the lamb for main dish. I'll try and remember the photo. Place is fully booked.
Very tasty enjoyable food, good service and reasonably priced, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal, def go back would recommend
Great food and great value. We shared the set menu for 2 which is loads of food (poppadoms, a starter and main each, side, rice and Naan to share), great quality and price and you get to choose nearly anything from the menu. Thanks.
We dropped in on a Saturday evening after a day at Crufts in the NEC and were very lucky to get a table, it was very popular. We had not researched the restaurant beforehand but I believe we struck gold with our choice. The poppadoms and chutneys were very good and the main courses really tasty and well spiced, I had a Lamb Desi and my partner had a Prawn Sag, we shared vegetables and both of us had a plain Naan. I can't remember having better tasting 'Indian' food (apart from Benares the Michelin starred restaurant!), the service was a little slow but friendly and efficient. My only regret is I live over a hundred miles from Knowle and won't be able to visit regularly!
Can't rate the food or the staff high enough. Every time I have been the food has been outstanding (the lamb jalfrezi is the best I have ever had especially madras strength). The staff are great to speak with and give honest and valuable advice if you are not sure what to choose.
If you can't eat in the takeaway meals are equally great quality.
In the centre of Knowle, this is a very welcoming restaurant. The service is good and the food is very reasonably priced. My only criticism would be that the chef concentrates on the flavours of the dish, which is a very good thing, but does so at the expense of the heat in the dishes. For example a vindaloo is as spicy as a Madras in any other restaurant and so on. Consequently, although flavoursome, people who like spicy dishes will probably be disappointed.
Really enjoy the food every time. The staff are all very pleasant.
Excellent food and good value as they do a £14.95 drink/starter/main deal on Sundays and Mondays.
Excellent food, good menu, friendly staff. Definitely go again.
Excellent food friendly staff can't fault it
