My partner and I came for a meal for our friends birthday, we had a table of five and were seated straight away. Bengal Brasserie is always a trusted favourite we live round the corner but haven’t been in so long. We don’t eat meat but had so much to choose from! We ordered paneer pakoras, onion bahjis and then for our mains we shared veg korma and shabji paneer (without mushrooms because I don’t like them!) and a peshwari naan (obvs) and pilau rice. Took us forever to eat it because there was so much delicious food. My friend Laura and I shared two bottles of the Malbec, £15! How cheap is that! It was lovely we were so impressed we had to order a second bottle pronto! The staff were so attentive but not intrusive and made sure we were looked after, even staying longer than guests would usually be expected to stay! We cannot wait to visit again thank you to everyone working to make our night so special! We can’t wait to come back! X
Amazing food well looked after by the staff im from York but will definitely recommend it and be back next time I'm in Leeds

God was wonderful. Cooked to perfection and natural flavours. Hosting was perfect with on the house drinks! Visiting on the regular for sure and what a first time experience.
Very good traditional Indian food and amazing service!! Definitely recommend if you are in Leeds. . .
Food absolutely excellent, service Excellent, staff are absolutely lovely. Came here with a few of my friends for some dinner.
Plan to make it the local.
Simply the best Indian restaurant in Leeds. Great food, pleasant surroundings & lovely, lovely people running the place. Thank you!
The food was outstanding and the service was amazing too! Would highly recommend and can see myself going back over and over again!
We had been to the Rugby match at Headingley and the staff managed to squeeze us in to a packed restaurant. They couldn't have been more helpful and attentive. The food was excellent and great value.
I've had two really positive experiences here. The first was when I visited with my house for our end of exams celebration. The food and service were both great, and they were lovely enough to give us free drinks at the end to celebrate the end of our exams. We left feeling very happy! The food came quickly and all 7 of us enjoyed our meals. The service was brilliant from start to finish and the large portion sizes meant that we took some home with us in takeaway boxes which they were more than happy to provide. The free drink at the end was a lovely touch and we all really appreciated it!
The second experience I had was over the phone, where I spoke to their manager Shakeel. I contacted them regarding a charity netball tournament that I had organised in aid of Cancer Research, and asked if they'd be willing to donate a raffle prize. Shakeel agreed without hesitation and was so lovely on the phone, wishing us luck with our event. They also provided us with a £30 gift voucher for the raffle winner which was incredibly generous.
Such warm and welcoming people and I couldn't recommend it more! Fantastic service.
Me and my partner visited Bengal Brasserie last night for the first time to celebrate our 6 year anniversary; we'd tried places like Tharavadu and Spice Fusion previously, but none really seemed to captivate us - Arriving at Bengal one thing that stood out immediately was the clean, stylish decor - The place looks fantastic and has a very cozy feel to it. Then we got the menus, and were very pleasantly surprised at the value of everything on offer!
We ordered a Bengal Special between us to start, a chicken korma, a chicken bhuna, 2 naans, poppadoms, and 4 drinks in total which ran us up to £44.90 aroundabouts, and definitely filled us up. My only complaint in this regard was that the bhunas I'm usually used to are more creamy and spicy rather than oily, but that's just down to personal taste.
The real highlight here, though, was with the staff; Shakeel and his team are extremely charismatic, warm and welcoming, and more than happy to accommodate for sudden changes or dietary requirements, and offered a complimentary drink for both me and my partner; one small other downside is the lack of a dessert menu, however Shakeel explained that they used to have a dessert menu, but removed it due to lack of demand. Regardless, he noted my name, and offered to order a dessert from a local dessert shop that one of his friends owns, totally on him, the next time we visited.
I've been to dozens upon dozens of curry houses across Leeds, London, Suffolk and Birmingham as I work with a lot of people of Indian descent with my work, and out of all of them, Bengal Brasserie trumps them all. The quality of a Michelin star restaurant with the value of a takeaway.
Bengal Brasserie is the ONLY restaurant I've been to that I would consider even giving 6 stars to, if possible.
We came here last Sunday for our tea it was quite early (just after 5). We’d booked a table for 5:30pm but it weren’t too busy so it wasn’t a problem. We had popadoms first with the pickle tray which was fab. I had chicken pakoras to start and they were the nicest I’d ever had. We all had different mains my husband had fish madras which he really liked. Everything was spot on the food the service, the staff were lovely. To top it off we all got a complimentary drink at the end. We will definitely return great food great service and great price.
What a fabulous first experience with Bengal Brasserie.
We were unsure where to order from for a 50th celebration and decided to go here - What a great decision it turned out to be.
I want to begin with the food;
For a lengthy order it was prepared and ready to collect within 30 minutes(we decided to collect as it would be quicker). We ordered a variety of starters, a selection of curries and sundries to go with it for 8 people.
The food was amazing, the whole family agreed it was the nicest take away we have had in a long time. The food was fresh & fragrant and absolutely delicious. Not to mention piping hot (one of my absolute musts for a take away!)
The lamb (in the curries we ordered) was succulent and tender, the chicken was also extremely tasty.
Secondly...Customer Service; 10/10
What a lovely & welcoming place to be!
Extremely polite and couldn’t do /give us enough. With complimentary drinks and food to go with what we ordered! As well as insisting on carrying our 3x bags of food to the car; the service couldn’t have been better.
It isn’t often (if ever) we go for food/ order a takeaway and are made to feel valued for giving custom but here at Bengal we really felt valued and it made my mums 50th extra special.
Would definitely recommend for eating out (stunning inside) or for a take-away!
Thank you so much- we will definitely be ordering from here again!

After our visit it’s obvious why this place holds the number one spot for best Indian food in Leeds. The food - amazing. The atmosphere - perfect. The service - outstanding! We’ll most definitely be returning again really soon. Thankyou to all the staff for making our trip so enjoyable.
Food, atmosphere and most especially service, was excellent. First visit, but definitely not our last. Wonderful.
Half pint whilst you wait for your takeaway, dont mind if i do. Food was fantastic and at a good price
The food is absolutely delicious with lots of vegetarian options on the menu. The garlic and coriander naan is amazing! The service is wonderful, all the waiters all lovely, especially Shaquille who gave us a complimentary drink at the end of our meal. We will definitely be coming back soon!
We had such a fab time! The food was incredible. We started off with popadoms and pickle tray which was amazing, then had the mixed starter (prawns were the juiciest, chicken and lamb were barbecued to perfection). Got way too many mains and extras but now have dinner for tomorrow sorted, the portions are juicy.
Had an absolutely ace bday!
Managed to fit everyone in and the staff were super accommodating.
They were very knowledgeable about the dishes and gave some great advice.
Food came bang on time and was a delight.
Even rounded the meal off with a complimentary drink and a bday cake with a massive firework in it!
10/10 would recommend getting your greedy gob here for a top curry.
We were in Leeds for a friend's party but wanted some food before we went. So looked up this little Indian Resturant on Trip advisor as it was top rated. The ratings were correct we had to book even at 6pm on a Saturday night. Two couples who had not booked were turned away whilst we were there..
We had a lovely meal with the tandoori lamb chops being the highlight. Service was excellent and when we mentioned the chips did not arrive with the rest of the meal they were instantly knocked off the bill.
Shakiel our waiter was excellent and all the staff were extremely attentive. Great experience all round would highly recommend it.
