Beautiful food at this hidden gem
We visited early on a Saturday evening as a party of three, from the first moment we walked through the door to the moment we left the staff were extremely welcoming, helpful and great fun for my son (10). Food was really really good, served at a good pace and offered both good value for money and sensible portion size. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Leeds!
Had a fantastic meal, lovely flavours and very reasonable, nice atmosphere and decor. Will definitely go back

Absolutely Fantastic - Highly recommended. This restaurant is under new management and has been refurbished (Jan/Feb 2011).
I have to say this restaurant is by far, the best I have been to in Leeds (and I've tried out quite a few over the last couple of years of living here).
The service is friendly yet very professional.
The tables aren't packed in and are comfortably spaced and the ambiance is warm and friendly.
Most importantly, the food is absolutely delicious and seems to be all freshly prepared/cooked and the presentation is A1.
There are special lunchtime/early evening deals and a specials board which, like the menu, all look absolutely delicious, and a good selection of reasonably priced drinks.
The cost is the same as other restaurants in Leeds but the quality of food and service far exceeds all others and in my opinion, is outstanding. Also worth noting, they don't automatically add a service charge like most other restaurants, however I'm sure you will agree that the service is definitely worth a good tip at then end.
I have been twice in the last month and will definitely be returning.
I highly recommend giving it a try.

Had the pan fried sea bass. Was yummy and cooked to perfection. White House wine was better than the one i was served in Novotel, hotel opposite where I'm staying.
Main was enough to fill me up so didn't get the chance to have partake in any dessert. Saving space next time as it all looked yummy.
I read the comment of Authentic cuisine. While that may be important to some, I'm happy with having food that is cooked well and has balance in taste to make dining out a treat.
So if you are like me, then I'm sure you will find something on the menu to get your taste buds going. If i wasn't on a diet and watching calorie intake I would have more smaller courses. Doesn't help going into this place after a gym session as the whole menu is too tempting.
Enough of food!
So place has a lovely ambience despite road in front with building work as scenery but the atmosphere made up for that, have to remember it's located in central Leeds not in London or Italy unfortunately.
Loved listening to their music selection which added a lovely atmosphere to the place, and most of all very clean, reflected in cutlery and glasses which says a lot to me personally. Staff were friendly, attentive and patient despite me walking in 40 mins before closing.
Best of all was hearing Italian from the staff...took me back to days gone by visiting Italy.
Best place to wind down for cocktails and wines. Pity I can't clone a version in London.
Good food. Seems to be run by Italians so food genuine. Had Asparagus starter. Wrapped in bacon made it a bit salty . Smoked haddock main on a creamy spinage very good.
Friendly. Value for money.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE PRIMO.
A friend first introduced me to Primo at the end of last year, and it instantly became by favourite Italian Restaurant in Leeds.
There is a really good atmosphere in the restaurant, the staff can't do enough for you and the food is just the best.
I would highly recommend Primo to everyone.
