Beautiful original art nouveau pub worth a visit for the tiles and decor alone! However, once you get there you’ll also find that the staff are great, the atmosphere is friendly and the beer is good - so what’s not to like?! Used to live in Hunslet and this was my local. I still visit whenever I’m in the area and it’s always good.
wow, what a lovely pub, lovely architecture and decor and the staff were friendly. Liked the room dedicated to Hunslet rugby league club. Sadly the beer ( well my pint anyway ) was not good,it was sour. Will return however and hopefully beer back on form
An amazing pub that is so completely different from its surroundings. It's a must visit. Tiling to the front bar (Vaults) floor, etched windows, beautiful. Oh, the beer, yes Leeds Best was on. If you're in Leeds and you like traditional you MUST visit.
Me and my pals went to this amazing pub after turning up too early to a night at Beaverworks. The landlady Julie is a LEGEND!!! She's the sweetest and most generous landlady I've ever known!!! We were made to feel very very welcome in a beautiful pub with a local community feel. The regulars are very friendly too!!! 10/10!!! Will definitely be returning here!!
What a lovely building. Add in the really friendly locals as well and this was a lovely experience.
No ale on due to equipment malfunction in the cellar, but enough alternatives to whet our thirsts
Not just historically important, a proper neighborhood pub with great staff and friendly regulars. An important part of the history of Leeds and well deserving of support. Don't miss it.
Somehow this Leeds gem survived the demolition of all the terrace houses that surrounded it. Now it is a little lost among 60s and 70s housing and you'd never pass it by accident but well worth seeking out for its traditional interior. It has a lot of memorabilia from Hunslet RLFC.
Lovely old Leeds pub , worth a look for its character and the workmanship that was put into it.
Only 1 real ale on but very nice and cheap .

Really nice & friendly bar staff, decent price for beers and some good quality ales on tap. We go in most weekends and is always a good laugh with the locals!
