Helpful, accomodating staff at a restaurant serving generous, delicious plates of food. Tap water was freely available alongside a comprehensive menu. Would recommend.

By happenstance this eaterie was the only resort for two out of towners, hungry and caught in the rain. We sat as it opened and then and only then did I read the reviews. The reviews were like Marmite. Either the reviews were totally slating the establishment or recommending it. I don't read many reviews in list detail but it intrigued me. I felt like a hostage, too late to leave, filled with intrepidation, coming across reviews detailing gastric issues for desserts! Well can all agree it has outdated decor and cleanliness could always be improved, it being next to godliness. Especially the mens, can't testify about the ladies. Lots of reviews talking about rude staff, too many to be vindicative but I guess I am not going to experience them all at 5 30 on a Monday. It has changed its name to Sajid's. If the sole gentleman that served us is a reflection on the rest of the staff then maybe it has been accompanied for better or worse by change of staff. Two complimentary poppadums. The mixed grill was on point, the liver was on the same point, perhaps the fresh onions should have been given more time to stew in it is own juices. Accompanying salad was crisp and fresh, fresh tomatoes and surprisingly cucumber heavy. No Coke Zero, only Diet Coke! When will peolple get on board!? Curries already ain't that healthy healthy but Diet! Luckily the full sugar option came in cold glass albeit small bottles. Main dishes, the mainstay balti chicken, was above standard, the chicken biriyani standard dropped if it was mixed with sauce provided, have it without, only slightly dry. All in all, my worse fears were not met, perhaps the low expectations made it taste better, slightly pricy but overall hit all the boxes, if one or two is/are hungry at 5.30 in that part of Leeds, with curry on their minds.

Proper Asian cuisine, made fresh to order. Extensive menu with dishes to suit all palettes, generous portions, excellent service in a light and airy environment. Plenty of tables, large bookings catered for, buffet menu available and opens over the Festive period - had the pleasure of curry for Christmas Dinner on more than one occasion when living locally. No longer called Nawaab Khan (for that, visit the sister restaurant in Horsforth) the restaurant is now named Sajid, after the owner and creator of many of the dishes available. A most welcoming and friendly host and a proper gentleman to boot. Highly recommended.

Both buffet and table service available. Buffet is not suitable for vegetarians. Starters taste good and the main dishes as well. Very poor collection for deserts. Out of 5, Starter: 4.5, Main Courses: 4, Desert: 2.5, Cleanliness: 3.5
