Visited and stayed for the first time this week. Received a friendly welcome on arrival. Enjoyed an evening meal before heading to a very comfortable room for the night. Breakfast was good, and I felt very well looked after throughout my stay. Will recommend a stay here and will I’m sure return again in the future. Thank you to all members of the team .

Fantastic welcome from the duty manager Rachael, booked late so I think I got the noisy room but it’s clean and tidy I’m sure once the pub empties it will be fine. Good atmosphere in the bar, ordered food and drinks served by Sheryl, very attentive but not intrusive. Will definitely come again when in the area.

Absolutely blown away by the transformation of this pub! The refurbishment is top-notch, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly balances modern elegance with traditional charm. From the cozy seating areas to the stylish bar, every detail has been thoughtfully designed. And let's not forget the delicious food and an excellent service! A fantastic spot for a meal or drinks with friends. Well done to the team behind this stunning refurbishment!

I came in for a family emergency and managers Simon and Jimmie took great care of me. From check in to check out. Food, beer and atmosphere were excellent. Assistant manager Tara was extremely helpful. They recently did upgrades and the locals were happy to see them. Would definitely stay here again!

What a difference, good makeover. We visited Friday for the first time since the pub has been referbished, the look and feel of the pub is 100% better and the annoying TV in the dining area is no more. The toilets are now fresh and clean. The food was good particularly the burger of the month and the steaks were cooked as ordered. One little problem with the order but that was quickly sorted out. The only thing that stood out to us was the lack of barstaff, particularly as it was a Friday we had to wait along time order our drinks, around 15 mins and some of the new staff were not serving in order of arrival which was causing some irritation, the same happened again to order food. The food came really quick once ordered and was well cooked. A big well done we will definitely come back soon perhaps not a Friday though.
