While there was some up selling it was mostly just recommendations for what's good. This place was amazing! Amazing bread and olives, wonderful steak and delicious dessert! The server was very attentive and super friendly! Would absolutely recommend and go again!

A lovely venue with excellent food that was only let down by service that was sometimes good and sometimes nonexistent.

We were served by Jason and Natasha on the 16th October 2018, they were very friendly and helpful.
The meal was very delicious and very filling.
The atmosphere and service was excellent, if we come back to Lincoln we will definitely book here again.

The food was excellent and the service was even better! They were so attentive and the gentleman that served us was so bubbly/friendly.
They made my mum's 50th meal very special and we would definitely recommend it to anyone!

The food was fairly nice and the restaurant was alright but it was overshadowed by the service. The constant upselling and trickery to try and get people to order more than they wanted got very tiresome very quickly and sort of ruined the evening. Everyone had to be so on-guard at all times in case you nodded in the wrong place and three plates of bread turn up (true story). There was also no soft drinks menu or beer which felt odd, we weren't offered anything other than water or wine. Two courses also took about two and a quarter hours, which was a bit on the long side for us.

Food was excellent with an excellent menu and wine list. The service however was appalling. Having pre booked a table there was then a 40 minute wait for the starter, items off our order were missing and there was no attempt by the waiting staff to rectify this at point of payment without management intervention. Disappointing.

A wonderful discovery in a glorious location opposite the majesty of Lincoln Cathedral with food and service to match. For starters my wife enjoyed the quite exceptional Pan Seared King Scallops ( with Ham knuckle compression, vanilla soaked grapes, baked hazelnuts, pickled shallots) whilst for myself the Wood Pigeon (with Pork crackling, golden raisin crumble, beetroot, black berries, jus) was an absolute, mouth-watering delight. For the main I went for Gressingham Duck Breast (Confit duck leg, braised potato, pickled turnip, blackberry puree) and my other half enjoyed the Braised Beef (with Chive mashed potato, pot roast root vegetable, horseradish, red wine jus). The presentation and taste was quite simply culinary artistry of a standard seldom found in the majority of eateries in Lincoln. We both shared the Cinnamon Poached Pear for dessert (with Almond frangipane, blackberry sorbet, white chocolate) which provided a nicely balanced conclusion to a gourmet standard meal. Having eaten at restaurants both here in the UK and in France (which include a relatively local Michelin starred establishment) I have to say that the Green Room is on a level with these. The atmosphere was relaxed and the service provided by Nigella our waitress was both thoughtful and attentive to the needs of the customer. I encourage all you foodies out there to pay a visit to this gem of a restaurant.
