Wendy's

Placed an order at drive thru and they messed it up entirely! The staff was arguing if bacon comes on a bacon double stack??? They forgot a drink and during their lunch hour I had to wait in line for about 10 minutes to get it fixed and they still did not get it right... Decided just to leave so the food was somewhat warm.

I passed by this Wendy's on the way to Vet appointment. Seeing it reminded me that I missed their food (cooking at home). I went by after appointment, ready for a delicious Baconator (Abt 4:30pm). The drive thru was quick; cashier at 1st window very pleasant. Waited at second window a few minutes as drinks were apparently backlogged. Total maybe 5-6 minutes. Checked the fries, they were hot and crispy. Got to my destination about 15 minutes later. The Baconator was fresh and still warm, lots of bacon. So many places sell you a "Bacon" burger, so little bacon! Wendy's has nailed it with this burger. They are always consistent. Great job!!

In a rush and strapped for time, this establishment caters to the world of hurry. If like it a little more laid back then take a gander at their inside dining room. They have upgraded it from the 80s style and give a modern comfort feel. As always there is social distancing between the seating areas.

A couple of weeks before this visit, we experienced poorly prepared food. Cold sandwiches, whimpy fries and what seemed like confused service. Before we write off an eating establishment, we give it another chance. Wendy's in Lincoln but a different location. And the disappointment followed me to this location. Going through the drive-through, I got someone elses order, a kid's hamburger - very dry and a chicken sandwich even drier. but not my order which was a cheddar, BBQ hamburger with all the fixings. Let me explain, I have been a pretty loyal Wendy's customer since the late 1970's, I have normally enjoyed their menu and the served food. A slip is one thing but falling down may make Dave Thomas holler from the grave.
