A wide selection of tasty noodles, delivered quickly at a sensible price. Good veggie options too. Cafe rather than restaurant style. Nothing fancy about this place but the food, while not being gourmet quality, is well made and tasty, service is prompt and friendly and the punters keep on coming, despite the area being packed with other food options. Recommended for lunch when a bowl or plate of noodles is what's required to hit the spot.

We really struggled in Chinatown, first to find a restaurant that was open (it was past 3pm) and then to find one that had even one vegetarian dish. After at least 45 min of window shopping, we were at Big Bowl's doorstep. Their menu had plenty of stuff and we just crashed in exhausted. The point of the lengthy introduction is that if you have dietary (or budgetary) restrictions, please just head here directly. Their combo meals are plenty of food for 2 (big bowl indeed). The veg chopsuey I had was a satisfying dish of noodles and steamed veggies. They  didn't skimp on the exotic veggies like cheaper places tend to do. The green apple virgin mojito was too sweet but refreshing nonetheless. An easy choice in Chinatown!

Everyone has their go to place when no particular places have been decided on or prior reservations made.  Over the last few years Big Bowl, situated on Berry Street in Liverpool has been my go to place.  As close to a Hong Kong style café as you can get along with Café de Pearl on Bold Street (which I don’t rate as highly as Bog Bowl) it offers good quality grub at a very reasonable price, as long as you know what to order.  Being of Chinese ethnicity I would probably only ever order the Western take on Chinese food such as sweet and sour pork, lemon chicken etc about once in every hundred visits to Chinese restaurants.  Whilst there are other delights to be enjoyed I still get the odd pankering for them along with the classic crispy duck (recently overtaken in my books by Peking duck after a visit to Hong Kong – post to follow). Whilst the official title of the restaurant includes Noodle Bar, it is the rice dishes that have become my favourite comfort meals.  One of my absolute favou

Best Chinese in central Liverpool! Simple, tasty, full of flavours, good quantity, quick service , humble staff and good price. What else do you need! It was busy as it’s a popular choice in central Liverpool. Everyone seemed happy and content. The tables have nice little drawing from kids and people who came to eat. I loved that. Such nice memories. Highly recommend, and if you happen to visit Liverpool, go here! Try the chrysanthemum tea 🍵

Popped in today for the set banquet. £11.50. Had vegetables spring rolls, prawn crackers, sweetcorn soup then sweet and sour king prawns with fried rice. The quality of the food was superb and the staff are super friendly. Possibly the nicest sweet and sour king prawns I have ever had and the soup spring rolls prawn crackers and fried rice were fab as well. Highly recommend this little gem. First time visit but it will be a regular from now on

Amazing food! Especially chicken chops, and everything with the satay sauce! Nice selection of hot beverages - I love their chrysanthemum tea (+ free refill), and bubble tea for only £2,8, which is almost twice as cheap as at the bubble tea places. It’s so concentrated, the taste is very rich. Waiters are also very friendly. Service is fast. Recommend the place!

So first time for me to visit this place and what a little gold mine, the food was absolutely great, big portions, everything cooked fresh and so much value for money. I couldn't eat all my main course sovi asked for a box to take it away. Out meal cost us £14.50 each and we got a starter, appetizer and a really big main. We got the banquet for two which is B. I took photos of the menu so you can see for yourself what they offer and the prices won't be beaten for sure. The service I gave it 3 stars because when we arrived we ordered after 5 mins and it took the NEW WAITER 20 mins to come and tell me he lost my order I was fuming as well as starving, but once he got it again the food come so quickly and the service, to be honest, was great really.

Perfect chinese restaurant. Huge portions, decent price. When you come here, the atmosphere feels like you’re in China. Authentic foods and drinks!!! Don’t forget the drinks!!! Their bubble tea is to die for! It’s the real bubble tea. Period. Also, the iced coconut shake, yummmmm, thank me later!!! I saw other tables ordered cola and even wine, what a disaster! 😂🤣 I ordered duck rice and it came with a broth, yum yum yum.. Duck was so tender and juicy.. Recommend menu: Iced pearl milk tea & iced coconut shake

Good authentic food. Reasonable price. Large portions. Good service. If you can’t find it, it moved closer to the church.

Wide menu range, reasonable prices, fast and friendly service and absolutely delicious dishes. We ordered prawn toast and salt and pepper chicken, and shared a special chow mein. I would definitely recommend all three of these. You can pay with card over £15.

Good food and massive portions. The sweet and sour sauce was nice but not like the usually sweet and sour you usually get. Good place and recommended.
