We stayed at the School Lane sister hotel and with such a huge choice of restaurants in Liverpool, we chose this as our 'Fine Dining' night of our 3-night stay. We chose the fixed price menu and the food was 5 🌟 as was the service. Supreme of Chicken was cooked to perfection. Bread was served at no extra cost and the chicken butter was fab! No room for pudding! £120ish including service charge for 2 courses, amouse bouche, bottle of good red wine and a cocktail. Would recommend. Thank-you.

Lovely evening in a lovely atmosphere. The food was delicious. We had the fixed price menu and there was a good choice of dishes. Adam was our waiter and he was exceptional. Very professional & friendly. The only thing that could be improved would be to replace the dead flowers (which were on every table) with fresh ones!

The cartridge works is always a lovely place to visit for lunch, dinner or afternoon tea. Especially if you’ve been to the philharmonic. The staff are all very friendly and very helpful.

Lovely restaurant and good service.
Chef was good enough to let us order from bar menu as well as A la carte even though bar menu was supposed to finish at 17:00.
All food was good and I had the Sirloin steak which was cooked just right (medium).

Starter: Smoked mackerel rillettes, dill emulsion, red onion soubise - this was delicious.
Main: Seabass - a filleted seabass with nice crispy skin. Served with a delicious crab chowder. The presentation of all the food is beautiful.
Staff: our waiter (I think his name was Adam) was brilliant. Polite, professional, very attentive, knowledgable of the menu, but also very friendly. He worked very hard all night to make sure we had a great experience.

My favourite restaurant in Liverpool. I have visited the Carriage Works many times and when ever I'm in town this is the place I like to go. It is classy, with high quality food and service.
The staff were very personable which makes the experience all the better for it.
It is a bit away from some of the main attractions but trust it is worth making the effort to get to.

Came here 25th October to celebrate my 60th birthday it was a total surprise and we entered into the warm friendly atmosphere and were greeted by happy, polite staff (Grace and Erin). Can not fault in any way, the food was prepared and served simply but classy and everything tasted amazing, the warm scones where just how my mum used to make them. We finished with a cocktail and chocolates to help celebrate my special day, thank you, we will be back to sample further things you have to offer.

One of my favourite afternoon tea spots in Liverpool. They offer a traditional afternoon tea which was SO tasty. I loved their sandwiches which included egg, cheese and onion, salmon and chicken. They had 2 types of scones.. fruited scone and plain served with clotted cream and strawberry jam. Also included in our visit was a free glass of Prosecco. I’d definitely return!
