Great location in the heart of the city just a short walk from Bold Street. Nice ambiance with high ceilings and lots of beams and hanging plants. Tables outside to the front and a good sized beer garden to the rear. Nice music mix playing at just the right volume for the afternoon.
The toilets smelt so bad it was horrible but the rest of the place was great. Not too expensive but not what I’d consider cheap either.
If you go here, you're cool. I don't make the rules, I just abide by them.
A controversial take but that pizza place on the side carries The Merchant big time. Shoutout to the chef behind the counter, he's a top fella.
Same owner as Belgrave Music Hall, Leeds. Same style and food available. Half price slice of pizza before 7 is great!
Great place, amazing atmosphere inside, perfect beer garden. The staff was very nice and helpful. Without unnecessary discussions, they will explain with a smile what and how, and in case of problems, they will find a way to solve it. I will definitely be back soon!

Great evening spent with friends & made some new friends, Bernie Connor & Justin Robertson celebrating Andy Weatheralls 60th⚔️. Great sets atmosphere class…Bar staff great…(could/should make bar bigger lol)…Lads on door all cool. Just get amongst it people ✌🏻
Amazing atmosphere, the music was absolute quality, we couldn’t stop dancing. I brought my friends with me from Paris and I’m so glad we spent our Saturday night at the Merchant.
Staff are super nice, cocktails are great and with a fair prizes.

Friendly helpful staff, very busy on Friday night. Pizza over was not working so no food and beer garden closed
