Went last week with the Mrs for a mootch and afternoon tea. It was nice and moderately priced. It is dog friendly so we wish we would have taken the dog. Lots of variety from plants, bbqs, board games, fresh produce, frozen meals, deli items, fish, sheds, clothing and much more. The brands they sell tend to be the higher priced items. The BBQ's for example aren't cheap but look like they will stand the test of time. The aquatics part it great. Lots of tropical fish and they also have Axolotl's! I told my son and he wanted to go and see them yesterday. Free parking. Spacious bays and always seem to be able to get a space close to the entrance 👍

Very tasty breakfast, but a shame there wasn't the avocado tost that was on the menu. I ordered the mini breakfast and it was delicious.

Went for a birthday afternoon tea. Fifteen of us including two children. We were very well looked after and it was a very happy birthday for a 98yr old. The food was very reasonably priced at £20 for two adults and £15 for two children. The sandwiches for the adults were a mix of smoked salmon and cream cheese, egg and mayo, ham and cheese and cucumber. The children, I thought, had a better selection of tuna and mayo, ham, cheese and jam. The scones were very good with plenty of butter, clotted cream and jam. There was also an excellent mix of small cakes. Tea and coffee were replenished as we wanted. A very enjoyable afternoon with all you could eat and more. Thanks to the staff.

Dobbies Garden Centre Liverpool: A Family-Friendly Haven with Room for Growth Dobbies Garden Centre in Liverpool is a multifaceted establishment that manages to shine in certain aspects while leaving room for improvement in others. My experience visiting this garden centre warrants a four-star rating, and here's an in-depth account of the positives and negatives that influenced this evaluation. On the plus side, one of the standout features of Dobbies Liverpool is the presence of a delightful deli restaurant. The quality of the food on offer is commendable, and it comes at a reasonable price, making it an appealing choice for visitors. The restaurant provides a wonderful respite for tired shoppers, offering a variety of tasty dishes, from freshly prepared sandwiches to hot meals. Whether you're in the mood for a leisurely brunch or a quick snack, the deli restaurant ensures that your culinary needs are well taken care of. Dobbies Liverpool stands out as a fantastic location for multigenerational get-togethers. The garden centre offers more than just plants; it boasts a great child soft play area that can keep the little ones entertained for hours. This feature adds a distinct family-friendly charm to the establishment, making it a perfect destination for families looking to enjoy quality time together while exploring the world of gardening. However, the garden centre portion of Dobbies Liverpool falls short in some areas. The plant selection is somewhat disappointing, particularly for those seeking a wide variety of options for their gardening projects. A more extensive range of plants, shrubs, and flowers would significantly enhance the garden centre's appeal and utility. Additionally, another noticeable drawback is the lack of sufficient staff in the garden centre itself. This results in an environment that feels somewhat desolate and can leave visitors without the guidance and support they may need when choosing plants and gardening supplies. More attentive staff members could provide valuable assistance to customers, answering questions, offering advice, and ensuring that their shopping experience is smooth and informative. Lighting is a considerable challenge within the building, and it's further exacerbated by a lack of proper light fittings. The overall ambience is somewhat dark to begin with, and it's disheartening to note that numerous light bulbs were out during my visit. This not only affects the aesthetics of the garden centre but also creates difficulties in finding and assessing products. Adequate lighting and maintenance are essential to make the space more inviting and functional. In conclusion, Dobbies Garden Centre Liverpool has several notable strengths, such as its quality deli restaurant and family-friendly soft play area, which make it an attractive destination for various types of visitors. However, there is room for improvement in terms of plant selection and staffing within the garden centre. The lack of sufficient lighting and maintenance issues affect the overall atmosphere. A four-star rating reflects the positive aspects of the experience while taking into account the potential for growth and enhancement in other areas. With some adjustments, Dobbies Liverpool could become an even more inviting and versatile destination for garden enthusiasts and families alike.

Pleasant shopping experience in a lovely retail environment with particularly beautiful toilets (my daughter loved the sinks in the ladies), subsidised by expensive prices. Yorkshiremen avoid!
