Had Turkish food before but this one was amazing. Had a Mixed Kebab plate and I think it's quite enough for two people. Because - they give a big plate of salad and bread before serving the main food. All the meat in the plate was fresh, crispy and well cooked. You can also takeaway the leftover food.
For dessert, I have been waiting to try Baklava and it was delicious.
Not so expensive, quick service, smiling staff and a good ambiance. AND opens till 12 AM. Zara Kayani
If you are looking for authentic and plentiful Turkish food this is the place to go. Due to the enormous amount of food for very low prices this might be one of my favourites in London. Make sure you make a reservation because it tends to get very busy (massive crowds and rightfully so). The big sharing platters are an absolute highlight; you better be hungry. Finally, the open kitchen and very friendly staff just make this a all-round great experience.
I have been to gokyuzu a few times either for dinner or a quick lunch. I had the mixed donner this time I came here, I had chicken & lamb donner the meat was so lovely & tender I also had chips along side with dips also. Then to finish off I had a lovely fresh mint & lemon tea it was lovely and refreshing.
Fresh.
Juicy.
Abundant.
Wide variety.
Traditional.
One of the best.
Turkish.
Umm, I always get the mixed grill with ayran and top it off with Turkish tea and baklava.
But I highly recommend the lamb/ tikka /steak dishes (they do not disappoint)
For me and my guest from Germany and Morocco, one of the best Turkish restaurants in London.Fresh from the charcoal grill meat and fish ,at his best!Always friendly service!Bread made on the premise! The only down note is,it is not any more a secret and so always busy!
gokyuzu is elegant and delicious, it is not some fake fad kebap place that you can overhear in conversations. good for family meals and guest dining if your audience is into Turkish cuisine. at the end of the day, Turkish cuisine is not made of kebap offerings with garlic sauce but has many options in casseroles, salads, deserts and side dishes. more than what you can discover in hipster venues or touristic districts.
lahmacun and kebaps are all worth attention, but have your eyes feasted on their serving boards to get some more adventure.
Ordered soslu patlican and chicken doner...yummy. Turkish tea was complimentary for the 1st glass. Staffs are friendly but restroom abit gloomy... overall... good place to dine wit family and loves one....cheer!
Friendly, warm and welcoming in a modern setting. Good selection of traditional Turkish meals including lots of different meze dishes which were my personal favourite. I would highly recommend the mixed grill and the Lahmacun. Generous portion sizes and very good value for money. Definitely worth a visit.
It gets very crowded on Sundays. It would be a good idea to make a reservation before you go. The staff is very attentive and helpful.
We ordered platter for two, but the food is too much for 2 people. Also it comes with mezes. The meat is tender and amazing. Prices are affordable for such good service and food.
Large portions.
The food here is really good, and the portions are large. Starters come within a few minutes of ordering and there’s complementary bread and sauce. Tbh you could get full on starters alone
Meal was great, well seasoned. Fries are good and they have special in-house sauces (fresh pepper and some other sauce) which taste quite good.
Good place to eat and take home leftovers
I was looking for a restaurant to celebrate my sons Baptism.. Let me say that Kervan was my best choice! Everything was amazing and perfect for the special day. Large portions of Food and let me say that it was delicious. The staff was lovely, starting with the two beautiful girls…! Definitely we will see you again!
I had a great experience here recently. Customer service is friendly and attentive. Seating is comfortable. We ordered a two person platter. It was extremely generous. Meat was tender and excellent quality.
The lamb shish which is normally quite hard in most restaurants was perfectly tender. Everything was great.
Prices have gone up quite a bit but that's normal everywhere unfortunately. I would definitely recommend and will be coming back.
One of the best Turkish restaurants in the area. Lots of seating area. Ground floor and first floor. Good customer service. Food is nice put expensive. £90 for a platter 5-6 ppl including starters.
100% for the food, the service and ambience. Exceeded expectation. Amazing. Friendly and helpful staff. Good menu range. Large portions. Clean. Many sitting options. Drinks menu practically serves everyone. Good place all round.
We allowed with our dog to dine in outside. But the only downside is smokers it gets a bit too stuffy for the family. Food and service is amazing.
Great food and atmosphere just on the high street. The waiting staff was excellent and we didn't have to wait for any service. Lovely aesthetics and definitely a place for a picture or two.
Nice atmosphere where you can enjoy high quality turkish foods. They would serve you with a complimentary basket of bread, salad and a dip. Love it and will go back again 😍
I just love it when a whole lotta food is just dumped into the middle of table! Delicious meat, bulgar wheat, hummus, bread and salad! Just wonderful! Great for large groups! 2nd time at Kervan and we will be back! Also love the virgin pina coladas
