Great mezze. We ordered a bunch to start. Mutabel dressed with pomegrante (similar to baba ghanoush) and mohamara dressed with walnuts (similar to romesco) were both great dips for warm bread. We had a couple of each of the bouraka: cheese, spinach and lamb. Kebbeh was a touch dry for my...
The food here is packed with flavour! In our group we mainly had the mixed grills, which is a variety of grilled meat skewers. Every one was very tasty!
The waitress and chef were brilliant in terms of service, very welcoming and accommodating.
Portion sizes were brilliant for the price. We all left satisfied and full.
My friends and I stumbled upon this place after exploring Brick Lane. We were very hungry by the time we found this spot and from the outside, it wasn't all that appealing. We did take a look at the menu outside and opted for it, because Syrian food sounded good. On the upside it was halaal. The starter prawns we had were very good, interesting spices. I had a royal cous cous which was quite large, and full of meat. Couldn't finish it! I did enjoy it. They bring the bill with some sweet treats. It wasn't to my liking because it was too oily. But great spot! Recommended.
Beautiful decor and large portions. The food here was so delicious as was the Morrocan tea.
I absolutely love the food, the staff and the ambiance of this place. It is a small cozy restaurant in brick lane with very good Lebanese food. Their quantities are big compared to their prices. I highly recommend their mezze platters.
While exploring brick lane randomly bumped in this Syrian authentic restaurant with yummy falafel. After finishing the falafel I realize I forgot to take pictures for me google review page. But it’s worth visiting.
Just had one of the freshest and tastiest falafel sandwiches I've ever had in my life! Absolutely delicious and highly recommended! As a vegan I also appreciate the attention to detail and the wife selection of vegan options. I will definitely be back!
Going into this place I wasn't sure what the quality of food would be like. It didn't seem as fancy as the a lot of the food places in the vicinity, however the prices were reasonable so we went in. We were seated and a waiter promptly came and took our order. We ordered the large mixed platter with chips instead of rice. A short while later the food and drinks were set on our table and it looked amazing. However, instead of chips we were served rice. I went to the counter and told the chef and he said he already realised his mistake and the chips we ordered are in the fryer right now and will be with us shortly, rice was complimentary. The food tasted delicious and was done very well. The chef is Syrian and the food tasted very authentic. Good prices, good service and good food, what more could you ask for.
Fantastic and authentic Syrian and Lebanese food. Really warm nice service and a cool, cozy atmosphere. We had the Chicken Shawarma Bowl with Rice (amazing rice) as well as the Falafel Platter.
Treat yourself to some good food on the lane.
Delicious mixed vegetable platter! Generous portion and everything tasted really fresh. The chilli sauce was also top notch. My kids also really enjoyed their lamb shawarma. It's right on Brick Lane so roadside might not be best if it's a busy day but it was quite quiet on a Monday lunchtime. Would definitely come again.
Location: great location right in the heart of brick Lane.
Atmosphere: great middle eastern/ Syrian interior design
Price: regular london prices - we paid around 50p for 2-3 starters and 2 main dishes
Food: great hummus and good portions. So come with hunger ;)
Service: friendly staff - however I have seen better Arabic/ Middle Eastern Service.
Everything is perfect about this place. As an Arab, this has some of the best shawerma in London — especially the meat which is very very juicy and rich in flavour. The co-owner Motaz is very generous, friendly, funny and lovely. Highly recommend this place!! An East London gem
Such great quality food and lovely family feeling, we shared a lamb shish wrap with a salad box with halloumi and falafel, plus a side of hummus plate and everything was delicious! We also topped it all of with a Moroccan tea. Highly recommend to visit and support this local restaurant and its owners!
Great place on brick lane, could be in Damascus for real. Food was very fresh, very tasty and owner made recommendations that were fantastic like a secret sauce to add or dip that was even better than humus! Highly recommended.
The dinner experience was fabulous. We had the hummus chicken shwarma, a very parsley forward tabbouleh salad, baba ganoush and haloumi cheese.
Price, service and flavor amazing. The decor is lovely too, I might change up the lighting a bit to have softer lighting for the dining room. Obviously it's right near Brick Lane so can get noisy on the street. Otherwise was one of my favorite Syrian restaurant experiences.
