The fact that I'm leaving a 5* review, despite having to wait over half an hour for a table, and then receiving the wrong meal, is testament to the top notch food and the phenomenal manageress. The brunches we ordered were well worth the wait (and to be fair, we were unlucky to arrive shortly after two large groups who took over most of the restaurant). Plus we were encouraged to keep the burger that we hadn't ordered, free of charge. As a further apology, the manageress gave my two young children a huge chocolate chip cookie each for their patience, again free of charge. What could have been a negative experience, was totally sweetened by great service, and we will definitely be returning.
Exceptional service!!! Ordered a meal with a poached egg that was over cooked. They noticed right away and got me a perfectly cooked one in no time. We also asked for our coffees to come with the meal and they nailed it. Amazing food but even better service��
Had an excellent dining experience at The Spoke. Came in for lunch and received a very friendly welcome from the staff. The lunch menu had a lot of great options with burgers seemingly being the favourite. Decided to order the Pork Shoulder Sandwich with a side of sweet potato chips and could not fault this meal at all. The sweet potato chips were crispy on the outside and delightfully soft on the inside, coated with a dusting of smoky paprika and a perfect matching dipping sauce. The sandwich was a real winner, the pork juicy and tender and full of flavour. The sauce, cheese and pickles had a presence but did not overpower the pork. Free WiFi and power points spread around the cafe make this an ideal place to catch up on some work over a meal, and the open kitchen was also a nice touch. It was great to see the chef visibly enjoying preparing your meal fresh. An excellent all round experience!
One of my favourite cafes in the north - consistently excellent coffee, fantastic food, and a great beer menu too! Highly recommend this place.

the atmosphere is cool, nice vibes, there were couples, guys having burgers after playing football, they seemed very happy with their food, thats when you know foods great when people enjoy it, not only eat it because they are hungry!
i had a salad that the waiter recommended an strawberry frozen yogurt which was really smooth, my friend had a sandwich which was delicious and mojitos which at the end were perfect as the waiter very kindly listened to all my suggestions ;)) I'm an expert in mojitos ha!

Perfect for a lunchtime visit, the menu isn't the biggest but there's something to cover all appetites.
I had a cheeseburger and as i'm a sucker for them, sweet potato fries.
Have to say they were both tasty!

What an amazing experience in this previous public house, which is now operating as a cafe/restaurant. The service was very quick, the ambience was very relaxed and the food was delivered super quick
The food was, without doubt, exceptional. We could not fault it. The burgers were so fresh and cooked to perfection, and the skin in fries was unbelievably tasty. Price point wise, it's higher than average, but the quality and taste are exceptional. You get what you pay for. We will be back
Delicious breakfast! We just moved into the area and will be back for sure!! Coffee is good, food is delish! We had a full English (special remark to the sausages and beans! So yummy and flavoursome). Also a boiled egg with bree cheese… I asked for the egg to be made into scrambled, that wasnt an issues so I was happy. And they were so fine!!
We ordered takeout burgers fries and coleslaw. The food was delicious. The burgers were tasty, the buns were super fresh and nicely warmed. The coleslaw was very good. Not too much dressing but enough to make you want more. Definitely recommend.
Lovely café with a happy vibe. The staff is friendly and service is fast. Definitely a bit pricey but that's all brunch places these days. The jalapeno cornbread was delicious and a nice digression from usual brunch menu.
Overall nice place with a good vibe. Food 2 out of 3 was a hit. Burgers (classic and Japanese) was very nice but on the small ish side. The sweet potato and crougette fritters not only had very hard, not done potatoes in it but the lack of crougette seems like was replaced with whole bunch of onions! I took some out and when pointed out to the waiter the onion overload he answered: but its good for your sinus! Also the canned drinks are tasteless.
Came in for breakfast with my family today and was very impressed! Very thoughtful considerate service, nice and prompt. And the breakfast was the best I've had in the area. I'd recommend the Jalapeno Corn bread (and extra merguez). Thanks very much!
Lovely place for a coffee and breakfast. The almond croissant was amazing. The fresh orange juice was great but pricey!!! My almond croissant, coffee and juice can't to just over £11. Would go again. Just avoid juice.
My wife and I had English breakfast one day and it was delicious with crispy bacon, another day we wanted to try burgers, it’s easily one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Burger doesn’t come with the chips but we didn’t mind it. Strongly recommend.
I had a lovely catch up time here with my friend and former boss. The breakfast menu was a delight to choose from and pricing average. Not expensive. My friend had homemade oat compote with Greek yogurt. It was tasty but we had to pay extra for more yogurt. The yogurt portion wasn't enough. The coffee was brilliant and I enjoyed it. We had cappuccino. The service and customer care was really good, while I was waiting for her I got a bottle of water and the menu to keep me occupied.
When she arrived a few minutes after I did the waiter was on hand to take our order and I came quickly.
The ambiance and atmosphere there is cool and calm and it's well suited for meetings and hangouts.
I'll definitely be going back.🤩
We just love the Spoke! The burgers are insanely tasty but most of the dishes we tried are fantastic. Try the Mac & Cheese bites and you will be in heaven.Service is lovely and quick plus dog friendly a massive bonus!
