The Taiyaki was soft and freshly made, filled with custard. We liked it, and there were a minimum of 4 pieces in a packet

I am fascinated with the quality of Ashain bakery. The smell and taste is yummy. I highly recommend trying tiakki 4 pcs for 2.5£ and its is fluffy with custard. Also the Japanese cake 😍

Such a beautiful selection of sweet and savory light treats. I tried a few things that was eaten before I had time to take pictures 😝

beautiful little place and the best ice cream I’ve had in a long time! The fish shaped cones are really cute too, and they have the machine on display up front that molds the dough into that shape, super cool

Excellent bakery! Prices are affordable and the sweets are delicious. I buy Taiyaki there everytime I pass it. So soft and tasty. But be careful not to burn yourself when eating, they are very hot. It's probably the best quality/price desert you get in Chinatown.

Best bakery in the whole of chinatown. Must stop for their fresh, on-the-go Takiyaki! If you feel a bit curious, do get inside and grab a bit of everything and you will not be disappointed. I recommend their cheesecakes and pineapple bun, but expect a super quick, no frills service. Prices inside are a bit higher than average, but absolutely worth it.

Very busy in here and I can see why. Lots of variety of different dishes. We really liked the custard fishes which are cooked fresh outside. There were also lots of savoury and sweet options inside.

Its a haven for dessert lovers. Some of the desserts are nice. The place is huge and located right at the centre of Chinatown. Easily accessible and they often have something being cooked or baked fresh. The prices are quite good with cakes starting at £2.50. I loved the idea of giving trays to customers so that they can shop everything together. I bought custard cakes and the jiggly soft Japanese cakes as well. And I also got the opportunity to try a really good peanut cake and hot taiyaki that was made fresh on spot. I liked the place.

Pretty good bakery, wished they were less overpriced though. The cakes were quite dense and not super fluffy which likely means they use good ingredients and less stabilizing agents, for better or worse. The youtiao very chewy and delicious, not the crunchy type. HK milk tea was basically a kopi c losing, very nostalgic.
