Akwaaba Kitchen

Very lovely owner, always accommodating and gives generous portions. The Akwaaba wrap is one of the best wraps / meals I've had & I keep going back for more!! I have to stop myself from ordering the wrap weekly lol You have to try it, I would recommend ordering through Deliveroo as Just eat seem to have a issue with thieving drivers at the moment and its happening a lot in Camberwell area (not the restaurants fault at all, in fact on one occasion the restaurant replaced my entire meal even though it was just eats fault) 10/10 for Akwaaba x

There comes a time every now and again when food you're delivered is bad enough that you that buy/reorder from somewhere else. This was one of those times. The portions of rice and plantain was surprisingly small. At 3 pounds fifty I was trying to understand where the logic was in seemingly giving the rice such a mark up. It was clearly old...cooked at least a day or two ago and tasteless to boot. I say this as a ghanaian and an unfussy eater! It doesn't bother me that I had to go and get a replacement. There were plenty of places to get some food from. Just warning anyone who orders from there and can't see what they're getting in person. It's oddly disappointing from a restaurant in an area where there have been some great restaurants serving similar cuisine. In the below image at the top and middle of are the plantain and rice they gave me. At the bottom is the replacement portion of rice I got for 4 pounds from somewhere else. I bought some plantain too and cooked it myself!
