So it was a toss up between grabbing lunch here or Benito's hat which is round the corner. I'm not a huge hat wearer but I like bars so I chose this joint based on that factor.
My burrito, as always, started with the rice, of which I wasn't given a huge amount. I was hoping that the lack of rice meant more meat, however this wasn't the case :(
There were two types of pulled pork, however only one listed on the menu, so I asked the difference. I couldn't understand the foreign lady's accent and so asked again, but still didn't manage to catch the difference. It was quite noisy so probably not her fault, I don't have the best hearing anyway. In order not to sound rude I just said il try half of each. She informed me that this wasn't an option, something I thought was a bit strange as I'm assuming they are both the same price due to only one pork option being listed on the board.
The other fillings were the usual you get in burrito places. I went for medium salsa.
The burrito itself was probably the smallest I've had on my Mexican journey through London which was a shame as the price was £6, which is about the going rate.
Taste wise it was alright once I'd added some of the spicy sauce they have on the tables.
A bit of a bigger portion and some friendlier staff would have knocked it up to a 4/5.
Good old big and dirty burrito. They are most certainly not shy with the ingredients or the portion sizes, so well on you. They will charge you for every little extra though.
Maybe it's a Premium Burrito Price Positioning lol.
Funky music in the background and they sell alcohol too, which is a nice touch.
Nice area where the restaurant is located. Friendly staff and a lot of seating area if you got here when it's not packed. They do serve certain meats halal so please check with the staff. Also they except student discount which is a plus.
Yummmm! Great place, naked burrito or a proper burrito all is tasty. But the best thing you can do to treat yourself is getting some churros with dulche de leche, they're made fresh so expect a 5min wait or so, but they are excellent and very cinnamony churros!
Good vegetarian vegan options. I personally like them better than Chipotle. There are a couple seats in the back of the place. There is usually a line at lunch but their assembly line process moves pretty quickly. If comparing with other fast food out it is a good choice for lunch.
Great burritos for lunch - lots of choice and it's always super fresh!
You know what, this was pretty decent. The option to replace the rice with coleslaw I'd not seen anywhere else and was actually really nice. I'd probably pick this option all the time if it were available in all burrito places. Not too bad for the prices, the burritos were quite large so you get your money's worth.
Good burrito options. Cheap if you are a student
Nice place with authentic Mexican burritos, the tacos are also nice. I love adding lime to my burritos, it really sets off the flavour. I recommend the tortilla chips also, they are good with guacamole. Good deals on beers and drinks after 4pm.
Very friendly, helpful and smiled staff. Great choice off the ways your food is served. Tacos, burritos, nachos, on rice, on salad, naked (on its own in the bowl). You can go for chicken, pork or vegetables. Four levels of salsa from mild to very hot. You can also add guacamole or/and pickles. Choice of drinks: soft drinks, water, ciders makes their offer complete.
Place is quite crowded during lunch time due to its location and proximity to offices. Therefore advising arriving there a little earlier than 1pm. The burritos are tasty and filling but i think slightly overpriced, hence the 4 stars. There is vegetarian option too.
