Lovely clean pub with great friendly staff. Visited here a few times and always have good service. Food gorgeous and hot too. Can definitely recommend and will be coming back. Thank you for a lovely evening 😊

Food was excellent. We were a large party on a Friday evening and we were really pleased with all our meals. So much choice! Piping hot , every plate was left clean. The service was excellent. Black pudding starter is delicious. Can't fault the menu small plate special deal or 2 and 3 courses deal.

The A666 between Clifton and Kearsley has a few nice pubs but I count this one too among them. Bit of a hidden gem as it's in an unassuming location. Right next to the A666 and the M60, behind a school. While that means it cannot boast a beer garden etc, the atmosphere inside is very welcoming. Clean, calm, cozy but certainly not morose. Nice place for a family meal or a meeting with friends as it's possible to hold a conversation. In some neighbouring pubs that's not a given, but yeah I realise that makes me sound old! The food is good value and the service is very friendly. Especially recommend the pies, cold cider and sorbets after - yum.
